If only this watch had Strava integration.. always catches my eye then I'm reminded of this.
Only wear OS smart watch can do that right? Unless you can link the huawei fitness app with strava.
You might be able to link huawei fit app to Google fit and then link Google fit to strava on fitness data. This way you can probably get around it. Not 100% sure though.
Any comments on this watch vs say a Samsung Galaxy Watch? I mainly use for notifications, weather, basic apps like alarm and timer.
this one should do it if you don't care about nfc.
According to a Amazon review:
You can't download apps etc onto it like apple/samsung watches etc.
Limited in its capability.
No google pay
one of the review says:
"I don't need all the fancy functions from most smartwatches. Exercise and sleep tracking is what I really need, but battery life is my main concern.
I am coming from an amazfit bit (30-45 days of battery) looking for a better screen and more functions, and this is an excellent replacement for it."
the opposite with me, i dont need all the active sport functions, i want a smart watch, that really smart and battery last months not weeks.
i want to be able to make a call, photo, and payment.
You want to be able to make phone calls and take photos on a watch and have the battery last months?
yep, hes looking for a watch that runs on petrol.
LPG will be cheaper
@sunnyday: Methane
But then it's less a watch and more an enema
The opposite with me, I dont need a battery that lasts for months or makes calls, photos and payments. I want a smart watch with battery that lasts years not months. I want to be able to clone people, shoot lasers and tell the time.
Great watch. I bought one from the last deal. Battery lasts for soooooooo loooooonnnngggggg :)
Same. Very happy about it. Looks good as well.
I'll for a solar powered version. It's too much a hassle to charge a watch
this or versa 3?

What are the pros over phone 📱?
Pros: it's a watch, not a phone.
Cons: it's a watch, not a phone.
But for real, it doesn't have a Sim card, so still need a phone. Watches with Sim cards do exist, but they're not cheap.
amazong battery life and good price Thanks for sharing.
Can someone please confirm NFC? I read after upgrading firmware, nfc works on this watch..
following for the answer.
Damn… I was so excited when I read this.
Just updated my watch and it seems the latest update is only 1.0.10.12 which isn't the one in the article : https://www.themrpc.com/huawei-watch-gt-2-update-v1-0-2-28-e…
I guess the update for AUS is yet to come…
Should I go for this or wait for the Fossil Gen 5 to go on special price? This watch will mostly be used for in the gym, but I prefer having extended battery life over features such as NFC, GPS, etc.
I'm honestly waiting for gen 5 too.
