They take your money and then sell your stuff to other people in store. Very annoying. Especially when you have bought stuff as a group where each item is dependent on the other somehow.
A recent example is Kmart just took 5 days to process my online orders and then cancelled a bunch of stuff that was available when I ordered but must have sold in the meantime.
I expect that during the sales - spotlight is especially bad - but this is the first time I've had mass cancellations outside of boxing day that I can remember. Has covid made all the normies start internet shopping or something?
Generally it’s in stock when you order, just they take so long to pick stock from shelves, high demand items go.
Likewise at Big W, two stores close by, one had no stock so I ordered from other. 2 days later got pick up notice, but only 2 instead of 4 to be picked up.
Found other store now had stock so ordered from them, again this time 3 out of 4 available ,when it was picked a day later. Picked these up, then checked in store and found 20 on shelves. Can only think another shipment arrived or maybe was in storeroom, when picker looked on shelves.
Retail stores haven’t yet got this online ordering properly sorted out.
