The Epic Games Store Holiday Sale begins on December 17, and we’ve got some goodies in store for you. Unwrap deals up to 75% off, but that’s not all….

Also starting December 17, we’ll be giving away a new game each day for two weeks straight - that’s right, it’s 15 Days of Free Games! Each game will be free to claim for just 24 hours, but they’re yours to keep forever.

Now is the perfect time to browse and add any games you’re interested in to your Wishlist while logged in to your Epic account - you’ll receive a notification if they go on sale.

    Seems too good to be true, but honestly could see it happening if not for the inclusion of The Witcher 3, which would make no sense at all to be included, certainly don't expect it.

    For Witcher 3 to be free, it means GOG has been paid for it, but why would GOG give free access to one of their flagship titles to another store, unless of course they give it away free at the same time, then it could make sense as it'd be no different to just giving it away free themselves and getting paid.

        So? Doesn't change that it's better for GOG to offer it free on their own service than to be paid to offer it free on another.

        Epic Game Store spends a LOT of money to increase the userbase of their store, because it's an incredibly valuable thing to do, Epic would have had to offer an obscene amount for the benefit of the money to outweigh the benefit of increased userbase to GOG.

      While it's indeed too good to be true, it could be plausible. However, I expected the game list to be different cause some titles aren't even on EGS.

      Epic Games' CEO said that by offering games for free, players who played the game ended up purchasing the game on GOG/Steam

      (Pretty sure because nobody wants to use EGS)

      Ah that's disappointing, I knew the list was fake but I was hoping that at least one of the game would be true. I think I've been given Tropico 5 for free about 4 times already.

            @King Steuart: Other people will just post the legit deals instead. That said, these ridiculous sorts of posts and spam are at an all time high and the mods dont seem to care too much about user reports. Take that 20 cent windows post for example. Any reasonable person would know its a scam, just as any reasonable person would know this post is clearly bogus.

    Surprise! This was bogus. I'm glad the guidelines changed. I was super excited as I've wanted many of these games but it is reasonable that they're not all going to be free after all.
