Full-Featured Calendar App
Pocket Informant delivers a full-featured events management solution that is integrated with Android Calendar plus a separate PI Calendar. Pocket Informant makes it easy to focus on everything you do in a day, from grocery shopping and meal planning to work meetings, doctor appointments, and everything in between.

Easy to Use and Manage
To get started, Pocket Informant offers templates for entering events and tasks. The configurable event and task edit dialogs can be displayed or hidden. You can add items to one or all of your Android calendars. To see upcoming tasks and events, you can access the day, week, or month view.

Search and Sync
The Pocket Informant app uses the Android Calendar Database and syncs with Google Task and the powerful to-do list manager, Toodledo. Searching for a particular event or task couldn't be easier with the pre-made filters that allow you to quickly find active, due, undated, overdue, and completed tasks. The app also delivers search and notifications integration with standard Android services.

Fully Customizable
Pocket Informant offers a highly configurable interface with more than 100 different customization options. To easily see what's on your calendar with a quick glance, Pocket Informant gives you the ability to assign colors to each individual event or task, category, calendar, different task statuses, as well as your work and free days, and more. You can also adjust the automatic functions, like the option to auto-delete tasks on completion or after a certain period of time.

Outstanding find - and great link to the guide for how to circumvent Amazon's stupid Yankocentric restrictions: terrific for those who don't have a handy relative within the US Gulag (I do, fortunately).

    Sweet thanks.

  • Does it sync with Outlook?

So don't click on the deal then?

        • +14

That's the point. Do you mean all Android and iOS app deals should be filtered out or just Android?

If you're not interested because you use iPhone, then don't bother voting. It's the same as you wanting deals about female clothes to be filtered out just because you are a guy (as an example).

The world doesn't revolve around you.

This is just amazing, not only the app but the way to get into Amazon app store…I almost gave up before reading this one!! Thx OP :) . Today must be a big day for android user here!!!!

  • No idea why this isn't working after 3 attempts. AH…

I have followed the instructions in the link very carefully to register fictitous accounts via a US proxy. I have also deregistered all my devices from my real account and have taken the added precaution of de-selecting any location setting on my browser and tablet that might give the game away but all to no avail.

Can someone help by pointing out any other steps I shoud take that is not already mentioned? e.g. Do you use an older version of their App? Do you purchase the title from within the App?

    • Yeah I purchase from within the app and have had no problems.

    • Have to purchase using the phone app. Otherwise, you will just get a region restriction error.

  • Was just looking for a calender to install, looks good so far.

@earlybird, I used the guide linked at top.
I downloaded amazon store app directly to phone from link in guide. I used generator to create a name etc and created an amazon account using this info and one of my old spam emails (although nothing was sent to the email anyway). I then went to the amazon account settings for my newly created customer and added address and credit card (maybe this is the step you are missing?).

After that I simply downloaded app from within the amazon app store. I didn't go through any proxies, nor did I change any settings or accounts on my phone.

    • Thanks for the info. I did enter address and credit card info on the fictitous account (for some reason it rejected all the addresses that were generated by the link and I had to create one using a confirmed US address). I've also enabled 1-Click. There must be something else that it's checking or tracking.

      • I assuming you did uninstall your Amazon AppStore and used the link in the email sent to you to install a new one?

        • Now that's interesting. I installed the Appstore downloaded from the link in the guide (step 3). There's no mention of using any link that is received via email. How do you get one?

      • Check out my comment below! Describing the whole process in simpler steps!!! Thanks!

      • this is what I have done to get there: log into your NEW Amazon account set up by using the proxy data on your PC or MAC. Go to the Appstore section to download the Appstore App, the system would ask you to input your email or a US mobile #, choose email of course. In a moment, the emaill with a link to download the Appstore App will be delivered to your email inbox, click the link, get the App downloaded, install it..then there you go.

  • i'm getting this message:

    We are sorry…
We could not process your order because of geographical restrictions on the product which you were attempting to purchase. Please refer to the terms of use for this product to determine the geographical restrictions.

For all those who are facing errors! please try this method also!!!
    Please try these in order:
    1. clear browser cookies
    2. create new email id on any email service (gmail, yahoo etc.)
    3. create a new amazon ID with this new email
    4. Search Google to get a genuine US address
    5. for putting CC info use fakenamegenerator.com (you may need to try a couple of times to get a genuine CC number)
    6. Now go to your amazon account settings and click on 1 click settings, there make you shipping address and CC number as defaults.
    7. Download Amazon Appstore app from the link given on abtevrythng page
    8. login with your amazon app from mobile and you're done!

      you sir, are a legend!

I had issues with the 1 click even though it was enabled on amazon. What fixed it for me was going to http://amzn.to/getamazonappstore and getting the new app.

  • I managed to follow a random guide found on google and get this going with almost no fuss on my Touchpad. Using the test credit card numbers made available by paypal (or maybe ebay?) worked fine, with a shipping address of google's head office :)

  • It's worth using Amazon store then? Do you set up an account on your phone, or via PC?

  • All this fluffing around to get one app? If you're going to the extent of generating fake names/ccs etc you may as well download this app directly for free from 'filesonic' and get it over with :)

    • not really, it looks for the time being, Amazon is offering one free App everyday…

    • But once you have set this up you are able to keep using the account to "buy" more free apps :)
