      4M, is that the new 3M? ;)

  • It would be great if Target included an indication of what kind of products they are going to be pricing 'below cost'.

  • +3

Target really stock 4 million items? Or is that referring to quantities of a dozen items?

    • +9

Maybe a bag of jelly beans counts as about 70 items. :)

      • How many beans are there in each bean bag refill?

  • +2

Yeah pretty annoying they don't tell you whats on sale!

    • if they told you then you wouldn't need to come to the store and search for something you might possibility want

Bring your own camera for a photo with Santa. Beats paying $30+ at most shopping centres!

  • .

  • No items or prices listed… not really a deal yet.

BANNED, no reason to go to Canberra anymore :(

    • Isn't the list of stores just saying where a Santa will be doing his thing this Thursday evening? The flash ad says the sale itself is nationwide.

    • The list is where Santa is appearing methinks.

  • "bellow cost" business you doing it wrong :P

      Blacksmith?

Stop horsing around and put a shoe in it.

    • Actually, tax writes offs on loss of income and freeing shelf space for more profitable lines are pretty good reasons. Not to mention it frees working capital embedded in having stock.

You've got to know when to get rid of stuff to maximise business as a middleman.

They had an ad for this on TV tonight and the lack of info is frustrating.

How can santa be at so many stores at the same time…imposter!

2 examples are a 5 litre digital Bellini slow cooker for $25.83 instead of $79 and a 6 litre Ronson slow cooker for $25.83 not sure on original price for this. I have a photo but my husband (who is the slow cooker at my house) is hogging the computer so can't put it up. There were heaps at my local target shellharbour nsw.

    • Curious - how did you find out?

      • I saw them on wednesday afternoon but I was shopping for Xmas presents with the kids so no time to look for anything else . they had a purple price tag saying over 3 million items below cost.

  • For WA only midland?
… need more love for the westies!

  • No info, SPAM

WHAT A WASTE OF TIME. Been there through every isle and it's just a hype. Mostly homemaker electrical items or subbeam items. Only saw 2 electrical item on sale. Slowcooker for $25 and a chopper/blender for $18. Some vases. A whole rack of clothes no one wants and some old DVD packs. Not sure where they got 4 million items from.

    • yeah seems like a waste of time then, wont bother

    • Agreed, I went there too this morning. Bunch of old games, old clothes no one would wear. There was a Beville juicer for $99 which I'm quite sure isn't that cheap.

The only gaming stuff on sale (apart from the games I mentioned) were things that were on clearance already, such as the old Wii remote for $23, Wii Motion Plus for $15 etc.

    • I can confirm this too, all I saw was about 30 items max with the purple tag. VERY few electricals i.e. slow cookers and electric kettles only. And even garbage bins on sale! LOL This was at Westfield Doncaster, VIC.

  • what a loser target is! There is no way they are gonna make money off this promotion!!
prob who they arent doing too well these days, same sales , same products! Boring!
    same as myer!
I say just wait till boxing day sales to get a good deal

  • Well I had a quick look, waste of time. loads of junk and prices not even that cheap

  • My local target had no mention of the sale whatsoever. wtf.

    • Perhaps they managed to sell off all their old, unwanted stock before the promo… unlike all the other stores.

  • A number of bedding items are also heavily discounted. Just check the shelves and look for the purple (at least that colour was in the store I went to) price sticker. Probably other hidden items around the store.
