eBay Plus $1 promotions are mostly crap and unsustainable - waste of resources including delivery for minor items that will mostly go into landfill.

Indeed, and not only do I not get the ad promoting the event, I often don't even get the link once the event has started (ie 2pm). I need to open an incognito tab.
I have experienced the same as both of you. And when I look for the deal on the day it takes ages to find it so I miss out even if there was
something I wanted.
I typically open at least three tabs, one eBay, another eBay incognito, and a 3rd on the relevant ozbargain listing. But as you've indicated, it's usually too late.
These promotions clearly target new eBay plus prospects, existing (paid) members are an afterthought.

I have been consistently buying in these $1 tuesday sales. But most of them were useful to me. This is the first time I am going to skip. Cant justify buying plastic that has no use to me. Dont want this to end up in oceans or landfill.
I feel like making 150 accounts and buying the whole lot to destroy them just so humanity doesn't have to endure such an atrocity.
