Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max Thoughts and Your Experiences

Hi.

I'm currently using an iPhone 11 Pro, and thinking of upgrading to iPhone 12 Pro Max because of the screen size and camera quality as peer Apple's ads.

If you already have an iPhone 12 pro max, can you share your experiences? Good or bad.

-How's the screen? Did you experience greening or yellowing on the screen, and is that covered under Apple warranty?
-How's the camera quality? Normal and night shots, is it really that good?

Thanks.

  • I have one and it's nice.

bigger than 11 pro max - 6.7inch vs 6.5. i notice the difference. harder to carry one handed.

Screen is fine for me. Should be covered under warranty.

Camera is mint! i came from an XS Max and it is a HUGGGE difference for me, at least.

  • I have a 12 pro max. Upgraded from 11 pro (normal size).

Screen is nice. Quite large but I have large hands anyway. No issues with browning etc.

Camera is quite good but honestly can’t tell the difference between 11 pro and this one - even at night. I upgraded from XS to 11 pro and noticed the camera being better but this one not so.

The screen quality is not too bad but I have heard some users having a green/grey flickering but I haven't had any such issues. Pending a software update.
Camera quality is excellent but the iPhone 11 Pro's camera is already pretty good, don't look/trust the Apple ad's for any reference….. shot by professional, equipment and software. I would look at some samples and comparisons on various sites to compare.

If you are commin from the iPhone 11 Pro (5.8" screen) to the 6.7" screen of the iPhone 12 Pro Max I would actually go instore to like JB HiFi or a carrier and handle the devices itself, as it gets a bit of getting used to. If I had the 11 Pro Max probably not worth the price tag to upgrade but to each their own if you can afford it.

  • I had the 12 Pro Max for a few weeks but exchanged it for the normal size pro. I loved the phone, the bigger screen was great for media and the camera is fantastic. The only reason I exchanged was it was too big to hold for me.

  • Most reviews I looked at pointed out that they couldn't really tell any difference between the Pro Max/Pro/12 from a quality perspective, other than slightly better zoom.

I would never trust Apple's marketing/ads to make a decision, check out reviews, but really, I'd never upgrade from last gen to current gen on a phone, might as well wait a couple of years and make it a worthwhile upgrade.

  • +1

Why upgrade? That's a lot of money for little benefit. The good thing about apple phones is they are supported for many years. You can keep your 11 for another like 5 years and it will still work really well.

Depends whether you need 5G speed or not…

    • Why upgrade?

Appleism is a New Religion. Only for true believers 🤷‍♂️

  • Thanks for your inputs, I also can't justify the price difference of upgrading to the max.
Apple would only pay $750 for a trade in (iphone 11 pro 256gb), and adding about $1,269.00 after trade-in or $1538 (with apple care) to get the 256gb pro max.
I have read some reviews about the problems with the screen and camera not focusing properly.
