I haven't entered international competitions purely for that reason since around 2018. I noticed an increased uptick in spam and emails from numerous US based bloggers who I hadn't agreed to sign up for when entering the competitions. I am not suggesting this is the case with this particular competition but it seemed to happen shortly after entering competitions that weren't exclusively Australia Wide.
I use a program that reports the spam to their ISP and as soon as I stopped entering international competitions most of that spam went away.
Ah I see, well that’s definitely food for thought, if I happen to notice the same I will probably not enter these anymore.
Already sitting on the fence with the huge amount of entry options for only 5 unj anyway.
These competitions are international and you normally get spammed to oblivion.
