  • Any recommendations on a substitute sd card?

Samsung Endurance Pro 128gb. Don't get Sandisk High Endurance, Blackvue hate them.

      • -2

I've been running a Sandisk High Endurance in my Blackvue camera for 4 years now without any problems at all.

I've tried all sorts of brands, including other Sandisk cards and the Samsung Endurance Pro and had nothing but problems in the past and from what I read online the Sandisk High Endurance and Max Endurance cards were the most recommended

        • You read wrong. Samsung Pro Endurance is the most recommended, including by Blackvue themselves. Sandisk High Endurance will cause restarts and instability.

          • @nubzy: Idiots negging me, do your research. Dont whinge when you buy a Sandisk and your dashcam constantly restarts.

          • +1

@nubzy: Yeap agree. Samsung Endurance Pro is a go. If you don't drive often and for average driver 64GB is good enough.

      • What about Lexar?

Pay with Zip pay extra 10% off, very good

  • +1

go to the store and get 30% off

Have you done this yourself, do you know for a fact this works? If it’s only coming up 5% online, what makes you think a different outcome will be had in store?

    • +2

Went to the store this morning and get the last one with the 30% offf, salesperson said that its been very popular especially with the auto membership. Very low stocks as its been popular

      • +2

Thanks, that’s good to know. Any chance you could upload a copy of your receipt?

        • I can confirm that 30% can be applied instore only. Got the last one from one of Repco stores in NSW.

          Thanks.

          • @Dark Zeus: Oh I believe you, would love a receipt to use for a price protection claim ;)

  • Would this model considered to be flagship or mid tier? Thanks

Membership doesnt work when used online (5% off online for this item)

Doesn’t say it’s excluded from online.

Misleading behaviour, time to involve these guys…

  • What of installation?

  • Thanks OP, just grabbed one at Repco Blacktown.

Cashier said it's not included in the sale however when he scanned the product the discount was automatically applied.

    • They usually list Blackvue in their exclusions but it's not there this time so not sure why it's only getting the regular 5% club member discount online.

Excludes transmissions, engines, cylinder heads, workshop equipment, automotive, marine or deep cycle batteries, air conditioning gas, Big Boi, Rupes, Redarc, Milwaukee and trade purchases and equipment. Store stock only. Discount does not apply to purchases from the Repco Authorised Service Network.

  • Got one. $410 after Zippay discount. Great deal OP thanks.

    • Hiw do you use Zippay in store? Is Zippay a physical card etc?

      • +1

Have to set up tap & zip in the app (takes 2 seconds) then NFC tap your phone. No physical card as such

        • Does Zip pay do a credit check every time you use it like Afterpay?

          • +1

@ph81: No, it's like a line of credit.

I don't think Afterpay do a credit check every time either? When I recently applied for a home loan, they just wanted a screenshot showing zero balance owing to Afterpay. Weren't overly concerned about it

            • -2

@whitelie: Afterpay do. People don't realise this and their credit history is rekt if they use it on a regular basis.

              • @ph81: Weird…. I use it a fair bit but had no issues

  • Just pick up one for $440.30 wondering if they are same the box show DR750S-2CH but the post show DR750X-2CH.

    https://ibb.co/phNTKy0

    • Think that is the previous model

    • That's definitely the previous model. Not much difference apart from its 4g capable with an attachment though I think?

    • That is the previous model. No big deal though, and actually I think the previous model is supposed to be smaller than this new one. New one has 4G inbuilt though. But both have same image quality.

    • +1

Might be worth chasing them up about it. Either ask for the X or a discount on what you got as it should probably have been on clearance at some stage?

    • The one in your image is the older model. the 750X-2Ch replaces that one and comes in a brown box.

Main difference X series has over the S series are
      - Built in voltage sensing for hardwire parked mode (Hardwire kit comes in the box), have to purchase a separate kit for the S series
      - Better Thermal resistance
      - Ability to Add on an LTE/4G module if required for cloud access via USB

Other than that the camera sensors are the same.

  • +1

Do they check your name on the racv card when you buy?

    • +1

no just the card number they asked

  • +2

Thank you guys, call repco and they said to return and have replaced with the X model.

  • Just called Lidcome store and was told 900x 2ch is discounted only 5%.
He said all Blackvue products excluded from sale.
    Misguiding customers.

Anywhere I can get 900x 2ch installed before Wednesday at decent price ?

    • +1

Weirdly enough, the signs instore say Blackvue is excluded.

      • Got one from Repco Lidcome yesterday for 580 and got it installed for 200 today

        • May I know who installed , I’m also looking for same

  • Got the last one from Bankstown this afternoon. and yes, with 30% discount. thanks.

    • Price after a 30% discount is $430.03

      • Now i am getting a quote for Dashcam installation is $200.00.

Anyone reccommend me good services to install dashcam, which conceal cables, clean and neat in Sydney (Hurstville area) and Melbourne (Doncaster / Kew / Preston / CBD) please?

        Thanks

  • There is no stock for Dr750 IR model

  • i changed different store, all show
    "No stock at selected store……"

    • Call up tomorrow, ask if there is any stock nearby. Failing that, ask if they can get one delivered from the warehouse.

I had one put aside for me which someone sold, so they ordered me one from the warehouse, should be in on Monday.

  • Thanks OP
Bought 2 of the 750x-2ch from Taren point. No stock in store but allowed me to pay and ordered them in from warehouse. $440.30 each. 23 available from warehouse at 11:15am

  • Thanks OP got the 2nd last one in stock for $440.30 from Repco Ferntree Gully as Bayswater had none in stock (VIC).

  • Thanks, picked up a 1CH version.

  • Thanks OP. Picked up the last 2 at Repco Woolloongabba

  • We picked one up today in Adelaide for $440. We were initially turned away by the cashier, as their in store advertisements had T&C's that said BlackVue was excluded from the promotion.
When we checked the email we received from the RAA, and Repco's online promotion T&C's, there was no mention of BlackVue being an excluded product. They were happy enough to honour the 30% off as it went through the tills.
