  • yep wish they sold replacement backplates for series X controllers as they dont work.

Great unit otherwise and have one from Eb games.

  • 1200mAh?
isn't a single Ikea rechargeable AA twice that?

I gave up Xbox rechargeable batteries a while back now - even the Microsoft branded ones.

I now use the Ikea Ladda rechargeable AA and haven't looked back.

  • I just use the Microsoft Xbox rechargeable batteries I got for a dollar or two each and a microusb cable. Don't pay $30 for the kit 😂
Works fine for me, although Laddas are a good investment too.

    • Ye, I bought the IKEA ones, each is around 2400mAh. Two in one controller last very long for me. And have another pair of batteries that I always keep charged. Changing only take 10sec.

  • Use Eneloop or Ikea Ladda rechargable AA you peasants. I mean that in the nicest possible way. :)

    • Only if you have a standard Xbox One controller. The Xbox Elite 2 controller has an inbuilt battery. So this would be only good to convenience recharge of an Xbox Elite controller as pictured on the front of the package. It's not as if you can put rechargeable AA batteries in an Xbox Elite controller.

  • Will this work with the new USB C controllers?

    • No. It's designed for the Xbox One controller only with the Micro USB connection. Hence why it says Xbox One on the package.

Xbox Series X uses its own charger designed for the Xbox Series X controller which has USB-C. I don't think Energizer currently makes one or even if they have plans to release one.

But here's an example of a charger designed specifically for the Series X controller which is currently released.

Thanks OP just picked up 1 from Big W @ Highpoint, if anyone else is looking there you need to ask at the games/phone counter as the stock is out the back & not on display.
