  • Very good product. I have one myself.
However, I've stopped using it because it doesn't fit my monitor (aw3821dw) anymore.
I've tested this on LG's 34gn850 too, the back panel design made mounting the lamp very difficult, to the point where it's unusable. This probably is true for all the ultragear line product.

I don't mind to pay the postage and small fee to take it from you

      • haha I passed it to my family member who needs more light for paper work. They are cheaper @ aliexpress if you don't mind the shipping time.

    • I've got the Dell U3818DW and the Benq lightbar. Perfect combo. Definitely worth the extra bit of coin compared to this one.

  • What’s the point?

    • i have 2 lamps from the shelf above instead but they do the same job. it shines light onto your workspace…its subtle but makes a huge difference imo.

      • I still don’t get it. Why do you need to see your workspace? Don’t you touch type?

        • +2

true, i barely look at my peripherals but it does improve my workflow for sure. Same reason why my windows are wide open and my workstation and room light are on during work hours. Lighting is everything really for motivation, mood and general EOD fatigue imo. i guess it's a real case of iykyk.

        • I have a pull out keyboard tray and monitors on arms- so I use my desk as a desk.

Bought one in China from taobao, shipped to Australia. which the original price is only ¥199 = AUD$40. works beautifully with my iMac!

    • Any tips to order on that website? i lost on the language :(

      • Try Google translate. I attempted it 2 months ago and got my item delivered in 2 weeks

      • I can read Chinese which is a big advantage for me to grab the real bargain in China. and I also have Alipay, but the shipping cost a bit, like AUD$10 Sorry :-(

        • Do they ship directly or a forwarder?

    • Yep. I bought something similar from eBay for about $40. Mine doesn't take batteries. It just has a cord with inline controls and a USB plug. It does the job. I'm happy with it.

  • I have one and can highly recommend it. It lights up the keyboard area precisely and won't glare your eyes.

    • Totally agree, Asymmetric lighting is so good for working and not taking any desk space for the lighting.

  • I got one too. Different brand from Amazon. 50aud. Love the lightning and how it doesn’t waste space.

    • I scored a pair of the baseus ones for $43 each posted, they are amazing: USB-C, touch controls, 3 levels of brightness, 3 levels of warmth

Xiaomi one is much nicer as the reviewers have done the comparison, Benq one is the best, but the price kills.

        • +1

I've got the Benq and it's awesome. More levels of brightness and warmth control than cheaper variants and I picked it up for $124 on Black Friday. Definitely a worthy investment.

Be careful the pressure on the monitor which may cause damage to the screen screen

    • Not really, it is pretty light, your monitor is not a paper!~~~~

      • +1

The pressure can definitely damage some monitors, especially those with infinity edge bezel. When i was using it with the LG monitor, the image warped @ the contact area.

        • Won't judge, but so far, I have never heard about the news on the screen has been damaged. Literally possible, but reality, no case.

    • The weight is on the back of the holder to balance/hold in position. The LED lamp is light.

  • Also have one, bought pre release on AliExpress so was a bit cheaper. The design is very minimalist (frees up your desk from a lamp). Feel like it is easier to look at the screen at night with the light not reflecting off the screen.

The remote is awesome and a bit of a differentiator from the other brands, can turn on/off and adjust brightness.

As mentioned above, it's very light and for me was easy to install and adjust. Would recommend, not sure about the price though

I have two of these for my dual monitor. Bought from Cyber Friday from China.
The product is good and worth it. Love that comes with wireless remote button
    Save alot of space.

Done alot of research on Youtube.
    Best is Benq but overpriced.
2nd best is Xiaomi very good quality and price.
Baseus (and others) quality not that good - light shines onto monitor and no remote button.
If you want a good quality LED monitor desk light, only consider Benq Screenbar/Screenbar Plus or Xiaomi.

Only small issue is sometimes I have to press couple times to turn on/off.
Included USB C cable is 1m for connecting to your ports on monitor or a hub.
Best to buy 2m cable if you want to connect to your PC on the floor.

  • This is something I think shouldn't use USB-C, just to be powered - there's more of the plain old USB-A available typically, than USB-C.

    • The cable is one usb-a to usb-c, it is not totally usb-c

  • Using one myself. It's a nice product

  • What’s a good price on these? And will these fit any monitor?

    • not all monitors but most. 27" will fit

  • +1

I'm running the original Benq lightbar and I'm happy with it. Can't find anything that I'm not satisfied of. It's just simply good, like "I know this Xiaomi is almost half that price but I'm willing to pay the double" good.

    • It is not doubled the price, it tripled the price of Xiaomi and 5 times inside China.

      • Thanks for the reply. What I wanted to say was doubled this price. I watched a whole bunch of review videos before placed the order and finally made the decision to go with Benq, because the reflective structure for the lightbeam was patented by Benq thus Xiaomi cannot simply work out a cheap copy. What I'm after is the best possible experience so not caring too much about the price tag (and I'm extremely satisfied with the outcome). Otherwise buying a $9 desk lamp from Kmart is the way to go (best bargain? lol).

        • +1

Couldn't agree more. There's no point in skimping on light quality when you're working at night or in low light areas. Your eyes with appreciate the investment over the long term.

        • patented by Benq thus Xiaomi cannot simply work out a cheap copy

          Haha

  • Is the angle adjustable forwards/backwards with this light? I have a vertical dual monitor setup so my top monitor is tilted down, so if it only points in a fixed direction I'm assuming it'll shine into my bottom monitor, not at my keyboard.

  • If anyone is still interested in this light, I just got one from another AU online store - The Feelter - for $79 shipped.

    https://www.thefeelter.com/collections/home-tech/products/xi…

It's on sale for $89 but you can get a $10 discount for signing up to their mailing list.

    • It's sold out now..
