Microwave has packed in after 8 yrs i see this on goodguys with 10% off which has good reviews but when you look up jb hifi and elsewhere there are plenty of bad reviews.

Don't microwave last longer than 12 months these days.
I like the sound of a flatplate not sure what the invertor is? Maybe way it cooks?
It so happens that this is panasonic but want something to last.
Any of you guys own this model and had any issues im also reading this come out 2016. 4 yrs ago you would think they be long out of stock.
Do i buy another panasonic or something else.
It is said panasonic is top of the list when it comes to microwaves. But is this the right model to get.
As I understand it microwaves without inverter have to switch between 100% power and 0% power, so say if you put 2 mins @ 50% power it'll run something like 30 seconds at 100% and then 30 seconds at 0%, 30 seconds 100%, 30 seconds 0% - whatever it needs to do to get your power % and duration. And apparently you can "hear" the microwave switch between power modes if you listen carefully?
An inverter allows it to scale power and apply 50% (or whatever you select) for the full duration.
