Bissell Auto Spot Clean Carpet Shampooer $199.99 C&C (RRP $238.99) at Supercheap Auto

250

Popular deal back again similar to this: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/581081

Mainly used for carpet and upholstery, however I advise using a drill brush prior to using this shampooer. You can use it purely as a water extractor and use a drill brush / physical brush to clean areas where there are stains. Usability in automotives as well, particularly with cars that have fabric seats and no coating layered.

Don't forget cashback rewards either, both ShopBack & CashRewards offer it.

It is cheaper if you have a good guys commercial account ($179.99) from memory

    • Just depends on the accessories you're after - TGGC sells the Bissell SpotClean Carpet Cleaner, which comes with: 3 inch Tough Stain Brush, 6 inch Tool, 1X Spot & Stain Formula- sample size 236m,l 1X Oxy Boost- sample size 236ml.

It was $189 on jb yesterday :-D

    • We just need a Delorean for less than $10 and we're laughing!

      • Well yes, you are well behind in the deals haha

  • Is there much diff between this and the professional version?

    ($40 more at HN)
    https://www.harveynorman.com.au/bissell-spotclean-profession…

    • See above. Same thing just different models for different sellers to avoid price matching. May have different attachments. JB has a different one too

      • Yeah there are a whole bunch of different colours and models, car, pet, etc etc. Seem to all be identical except possibly the attachments.

  • Any recommendations on a good drill brush that won't be too harsh?

    • White bristles ones one ebay or aliexpress. Usually you will see the yellow ones but they are abit too harsh for the car's carpet.

  • Just wondering if this can go onto leather seats?

    • +1

No, can't use it on the leather seat. Cleaning leathers are easier tho you can use a mild cleaner then conditioner.

      • Thanks, watching this cleaner is satisfying though lol

        • It is really amazing indeed. My seats were looking pretty clean but when I used this the extractor container filled with dusty water haha

Look up using Wool Wash diluted 5:1. There is a video on YouTube from Sweet Project Cars. Apparently it’s what Rolls Royce also recommends.

Just a quick note guys, this one can not suck foaming detergents (at least what user manual says, lol)

you should use non foaming ones to not void warranty and prevent possible breakdowns.

  • Mine was invaluable a couple of days ago when I woke up in the morning to be greeted by a dog turd on my rug….Just wish they had a longer hose. I think the Turbo does (?) but I can't justify the cost

    • agree! had an overflow from gutter spilling on to internal of the house wetting the studio room carpet. Did the whole room with this machine by sucking it dry with the help of couple of warm days. I did not use the detergent from Bissell. Used my own diy mix i.e. laundry detergent, hot water and Canesten Antibacterial and Antifungal Hygiene Laundry Rinse Lemon. Ratio of the mix is unknown. Just eyeball it.

  • why not rent one when you need one from bunnings $35/day? probably stronger as well

This is actually a honest question, trying to justify the "investment"

    • +1

Definitely use the big ones for carpet cleaning or doing a few rugs at once. This unit is excellent for us as we foster cats and kittens and need it for spot cleans. Used it for a large rug and it was a pain in the arse and would definitely hire one for large areas.

  • Anyone done a whole carpet with this? Got a pretty small room that needs cleaning

    • +1

I do our decent sized rugs (around 2x3m) with it pretty regularly. Takes a little bit of time but definitely do-able

    • Save the time, hire one. I've tried doing a whole rug and ended up taking forever plus sore knees and sore back. I have this same unit and it's excellent for stains on furniture, spot cleaning etc but for a few square metres you're emptying and refilling the tank every few minutes.
