I brought a iPhone 7 Plus with case and charger, even turned it on and looked like it had been reset and was ready to go, got home and its icloud locked.
So I can't set it up and now I'm out of pocket with no money and no phone, my fault. Unsure what else to do but I messaged the guy on fb and heard nothing than they posted LOL and blocked me. We also met at the shops not at his house.
Just a beware post unless he somehow sees this and gets back to me, can only hope at this point

Definitely sucks as being icloud blocked you can't even access the device…. always a risk with buying a phone from FB marketplace or Gumtree. Best you can do is sell it for parts/not working via ebay and try to recover as much funds as you can.
yeah im trying to do that now but just getting time wasters asking for cheaper because they live far.. So annoying

But he didn't, hence the comment "should have fully tested it". The apple website even tells you how to check for iCloud lock, and what to do when buying a used idevice.

Yes…he is going to read this thread and it will invoke his inner good conscience and he will come back with the refund and sorry card.
Send messages to his family (everyone with his last name on his friends list) telling them what he did. Make a record of everyone on his friends list in case he unfriends everyone to prevent you from telling more people.
