Anaconda Lowest Price Guarantee Refused on Store

Hi guys,

I am trying understand legitimate of refusal of Lowest Price Guarantee by Anaconda

I went to store to buy
Coleman Northstar 10 Person Darkroom Tent with LED

The price of tent is
Reg: $1,179.99
CLUB $799

I am not member of Anaconda club.

At checkout I asked to apply lowest price schema as same tent is 799 elsewhere like tentworlds that is cheaper that regular price at Anaconda.

My request been rejected with explanation that CLUB price is same and for that reason it same price and they can't apply discount. When I highlighted that I am not member and price for would be 1179 they offered to join their club but still refused to make it 10% cheaper.

I even tried call center but quality of line was so bad so I could not properly explain situation proprerly and been just suggested to leave complaint on their website.

So, what is your view and opinion about it ?

    Why not just join Anaconda Adventure Club (it free)?

    EDIT: Appears you were after the 10% Price Beat from the Club Price.

      Yes true.

      Here is the condition.

      How can I claim my 10% lowest price guarantee reduction?
      You can claim your Lowest Price Guarantee by providing advertising material, a genuine signed quote, a dated receipt or any other official document from the other retail store.

      These documents will be used to assist the Anaconda team member to confirm that the product is identical including brand, model, year of manufacture and colour, and if the item is in stock and offered at a lower price by a competitor.

      This offer is currently only available in our physical stores.

      Price Matching must occur prior to purchase price matching cannot occur after a purchase has been made, including on any lay by purchases.

      Nothing about that if club price is same, they can't apply it.

        I think you demand too much. Club price is their price as well, how to beat their own price?

        Also there should be a condition saying Anaconda has the final right to say on the guarantee.

        Sounds like they have taken into account the discount offered by Anaconda to Club members and your price is no longer lower.

          ^^^ This seems to be Anaconda's best argument and its not a bad one.
          They are entitled to take into account discounts offered by Anaconda. Once they do so the price is identical - so there is no reason to price beat.

      There are no. Almost all store list it at 799 that % cheaper for RRP price.

        Am I reading it wrong? You want anaconda to price match another shop ($799). So instead of price matching, why not just go to the other store and buy it from them rather than try and price match?

          He wants anaconda to beat the $799 price by 10%, as anacondas standard price is $1k. He is conveniently ignoring the $799 club price anaconda already offers.

    You buy it for $799 and don't try to screw anyone over?

    You walked out without buying, which makes it plain obvious that you had already expected to buy the item at a 10% discount. I bet you'd thought about it, smiled to yourself, pictured how it would happen, and then it didn't… And you walked out empty handed, called head office, and then came to post on here.

    The promo is there to ensure that you're getting the cheapest price from a B&M store. And in this instance, you are getting the cheapest price, at $799

    Like others, i don't really see your argument here unless I'm interpreting the whole thing wrong? If club membership is free, then the $1179.99 isn't applicable to the guarantee.

    They state "FIND A CHEAPER PRICE ON THE SAME STOCKED ITEM AND WE'LL BEAT IT BY 10%" and you could purchase it for $799. Have you found a cheaper price? Finding it at the same price isn't the same as finding it cheaper, so unless you've found it for $798 or less, they're not obliged to do anything.

    OP….you referenced $799 as the lowest price.

    Anaconda already offer it at $799 (with a free membership), Anaconda's pricing is that anyone would be silly to pay their normal price.

    So there is no price to beat.

    Just consider everything in Anaconda is at the membership price as it takes a few seconds and no money to become a 'member'.

    That you expected to get 10% off the price Anaconda already sells it at says more about you than Anaconda.

    Also; my anaconda don't, my anaconda don't….
