I have one of these. They are very spill proof, the reason I bought it is so I can put it in my backpack and not be worried about anything.
It keeps coffee hot for around 2-3hours, possibly more, I usually finish my coffee before this time.
Cons:
They are a bit difficult to clean and the inside rubber of the cap just builds up with milk residue.
Smells terrible after being left in the car or backpack for a few hours. However, I am assuming this is with all coffee mugs.
Drinking experience is not the best, it is not as comfortable as a keep cup.
The price is really good. I got mine from Catch for roughly $22 a few months ago. They have been known to be $14 or so at their cheapest so $17 is not bad.

I've got one too, very happy with it.
I run mine through the dishwasher which seems to clean it thoroughly as long as you unlatch the seal mechanism inside the lid beforehand.
I also have one - snagged it from a Harvey Norman Clearance center for $15.
I've used it almost daily for over a year - it's a great cup. The paint is all peeling and flecking off of mine, but the stainless steel underneath is fine.
The springs on either side of the interior lid are a bit fiddly if they're not cleaned carefully - I now have to push them in as I close the lid up so it's actually sealed.
I only drink black coffee so haven't really had much issue with any buildup (milk, cream etc.)

Never owned a Contigo product before. Can anyone compare them to Thermos and Zojirushi?
My thoughts better than Thermos and not as good as Zojirushi.
The key feature for me is that I can take a drink one-handed. If it slips off my hand, it won't spill hot liquid over me, car seat or keyboard.
There might be but I haven't seen any other brand offering something similar.
These are also available from Costco.
