Oh, God, Johnny, don't point that gun at me (c) New Order

Anyways, lowest on camels
Reddit says:
When measuring the temperature you can get different readings depending on:
"angle of attack" - location you're aiming the temp. gun from
"distance" - are you measuring the temp from a consistent distance?
"emissivity" - to properly measure the surface temperature the gun needs to be calibrated to the material being measured
I like the EtekCity 1022D because the two beams allow you to fine tune the convergence point so that you can maintain a similar "angle of attack" and "distance" each measure. Additionally the EtekCity 1022D does allow for you to adjust the emissivity settings.

    On the product page

temperature readings from this device are inanimate objects, the measured temperature for humans or animals will not be correct.

The photo with child's forehead is a warning, not a suggested use case!

not sure, amazon shows me Nurofen ads …

  • Lowest on 3xcamels was $47…

    • vertical line without preceding horizontal one means it was at that price for 0 minutes 0 seconds.

In my experience, it could have been launched at the lower price and increased when 3camels started monitoring. Could have been same day. Could have been weeks after.

  • Hi
With these probes, the ratio matters. Also I prefer ones with dual laser (measures in between the 2 lasers)

This is a 12:1 which is not so bad, but theres a 30:1 for the same price and they even sell a 50:1 now both with dual lasers.
EDIT: realize this has dual lasers

    • Which one you'd suggest?

  • I've been on the lookout for one of these for a while… It has some dodgy reviews though, is it worth the $50? Or are better options for slightly more?

    • @TheFlyingCoder Of course its got "some" dodgy reviews, it has over 23,000 reviews!!
But it has a really high star rating of 4.5*****stars, and 74% gave it 5***** stars and only 5% gave it 1*star!!
The fact that it has over over 23,000 reviews and 4.5 stars suggests that it's a good buy to me.
