    website so buggy..

    • Totally agree. Just add things to the cart and then refresh the page. That's how I ordered. Also took me close to 40 minutes to do this list because it's buggy.

Sounds like you need the last item on OP’s list

Hehe, well played fellow OzBargain user :)

    • No issue with the website for me

  • +4

    Appreciate the effort!

I have used it before and it's not as good as Rain-X (close), but makes a big difference

      • +1

Borat approves. I'll have to get some.

  • What's best? Water repellent or Bar's bug windscreen? Or can you add both to the water tank?

    • Water repellent is hydrophobic and Bar's is a surfactant, so Bar's would just degrade the water repellent. Likely wouldn't work well together.

      • +1

        Thank you! :)

Thanks OP. Able to get some products from my local store.

Repco Eclipse Deodouriser Spray good for shoes? May gift it to my brother 🤣

    • +1

If that fails, try AUTO KOLONE. Gets the smell out of anything. He will just smell like a taxi

  • Anything strong enough to clean bird poo off plastic bumpers? Tried baking soda and dishwashing liquid as suggested online but didn’t work

    • +4

It has probably etched your clear coat.

You used baking soda on your paint job. Ouch.

You could sparingly try the scratch remover but be very careful.

    • +1

Not sure how to repair it, but best to remove it ASAP. Bird poo has a pH of 3 to around 4-5ish and damages clear coats. Glass Rejuvenator might be worth a try.
Claims: Micro-fine polishing beads deliver enhanced cleaning to UV damaged and degraded plastics and Cuts through sap, dried bugs and grease and grime on glass and hard plastics

The best thing to do is to remove it asap with some soapy water.

Wet paper towel with water, leave on for 30 mins…wipe off.

  • What should we use to protect leather seat from sunscreen? The sunscreen is starting to leave a white mark on leather seat. I am hoping to apply some sort of protection if possible. Can anyone recommend a good product for me? Thank you.

    • The reason I purchased this Bowden's OwnLeather Love 500ml $17.99. Normally around $22. HOW TO CLEAN SUNSCREEN FROM LEATHER SEATS AND TRIMS. Cheapest option I could find at the moment. Could also try isopropyl alcohol and then condition it, but this will likely be much kinder to your leather

      • Thank you. Does this protect it from sunscreen? Or just to clean it afterwards?

        • I don't think anything will stop sunscreen from getting onto seats, bar covering the seat. Just have to clean it when it starts to get mucky

          • @Froot Loops: Thank you. Is there leather protection spray or something similar?

            • @Devilius: Bowden's OwnLeather Love does both and is a spray. Could also look into Meguiar's Ultimate Leather Detailer or Meguiar's Gold Class Leather Cleaner And Conditioner if you want to spend alittle more. Generally, the creams last longer than the sprays, but sprays are alot easier. I normally just clean mine fully, once every 6 months, and then just do spot cleaning. My leathers are 9 years old and no cracks or wear yet (Hyundai i40)

              • @Froot Loops: Thank you. Have you ever used Bowden's Own Leather Guard 500ml - BOLG? Or not necessary?

    • For a Mazda CX9 Azami LE?

      Nappa leather?

      • I tried Mother's VLR. It works great for the Sunscreen spot on the leather

      • Yes, that's right. I dunno how you know. Hahaha…

      • Thank you. Does this protect it from sunscreen? Or just to clean it afterwards?

        • I'm not sure. But I do know that anything else, like softdrink or other sticky things easily wipe off. It gives good barrier and sun protection.

Thanks Op, bought a collection of some :)

Placed Bars Bugs in my cart and checked out with Apple Pay. Was charged $5.

Went back to the page and the price is now $5. F*** Repco.

    • Seems to have gone up and I am marked it expired. I did note, if you go to like and select "Bar's Bugs Windscreen Cleaner 375ml" multibuy, it shows in cart as 2x 600mL bottles for $7. Not sure why it went up in price as it is an advertised special. Maybe shoot their customer support an issues or contact the store you will pick up from. Sorry for the bad experience mate. Could also consider Repco Eclipse Wind Screen Additive 375ml $3, but the mulit-buy is most likely a better option

  • Hi MS Paint^, Your Repco contactless "Click & Collect" order is ready for collection…..

Thanks OP. Went to town on my local repco and it's all ready for pickup. Not sure how I spent $50+ on $2 and $3 items 🤔

    ^ not my real name

    • Thats what I did, now I'm questioning my choices 😒

Altho I was going to have a thorough run at the car in the next few days, so all bits will help I guess.

  • I am just starting to get into car detailing but there seems to be so many different brands and what not. Any recommendations where to start brand wise?

Look for the 20-30% discounts on meguiars stuff. I dont have any experience with bowdens but many people pleased. If Im not going to get a proffesional grade product I stick with megi, I find performance good for the bucks.

Dont pay the full rrp and stick with the fundamental products. ie instead of buying scratchx get ultimate compound.

      • I heard scratch x is safer to use than ultimate compound.

    • Meguiars are good, but we are starting to see deals for chemical guys on amazon. Their product is more of a professional product and is used by alot of car nuts in the states. Just waiting for more to come onto amazon and prices to adjust and I will buy from them. In the mean time Meguiars is decent and I find turtle wax also ok, if cheap

    • Autoglym are solid, I use meguiars stuff also. Bowden's is hit and miss, they are overhyped (in my opinion) and have a weird cult following.
