Dip them in some chips
I liked to peel off some hot and spicy skin (WA based, so it's a permanent thing), wrap up a few chips and then dip them in the potato and gravy. I swear I could feel the release of endorphins when I bit into that little greaseball.
No that is just a mini stroke (transient ischemic attack).
Hopefully, at least then something would be stroking me.
The drive thru window (I can't recall which store in Sydney) had an apology due to supply issues..
I'm not sure what would be having the supply issues; the container, the mashed potato, or whatever goes into making their delicious gravy.
I just hope it is back soon, something so satisfying about fried potato dipped in mashed potato covered in gravy.
The probably ran out of asbestos dust. They might have to switch the real potatoes soon.

As long as it tastes the same and is as healthy as the normal KFC, I don't think I'll mind.
It baffles and saddens me though that even if it tastes identical, has identical nutrition values and proven safe, a significant percentage of the population still just won’t eat it.
And you can bet eventually some moron will say lab grown meat causes autism or something and idiots will believe it.

They usually do that if they have run out of potatoes and gravy. They put a note in the app when you are ordering if you look closely.

It's been doing this for over a month now.
When I rock up to the drive-thru window I just tell them I want P&G instead and they do a manual swap.

I usually swap out the potato and gravy for just gravy. Much much better.
Curses. I was helping in a kitchen once with some apprentice chefs when one of them made the comment that we shouldn't buy the potato and gravy. His reason was that he had worked there, and the gravy was made out of the fat and juices that dripped out from the chicken.
These were students from the old Panorama TAFE, so I think he was what social science types refer to as an "outlier"…
I still get told this. Their voice drops and in the low, conspiratorial whisper of one revealing a great secret they say "I heard their gravy is made from the leftover fats and juices from the chicken!"
I guess some people just microwave their gravy in a packet from Continental?
What scared me was that this was an erstwhile "Chef" from a well respected institution. My mind biggled, in that I wanted to strafe him from a great height…

This has been like this for me at least for at least 6 weeks. No large and potato and gravy for all this time.

I just checked the app and again still no large potato and gravy. Surely this is beyond a joke now. They should have sorted this out by now!
If it helps, and I'm in WA so it probably doesnt, I took a chance and ordered chips. When I was in store, I was able to explain to the staff that the app was terrible and I was actually hoping for Potato and Gravy. Luckily he was able to hook me up, so maybe it's worth calling the store ahead and seeing what their situation is.
We had a short period where we got 4 small tubs instead of a large. Back to large, though, the last couple of times we visited.
Has anyone noticed the gravy tasting "different"?
In some stores (here in SA), it tastes a lil "off" or burnt. You can even smell that it is kinda smokey/burnt. I got it at one store and it was smelt really off - and tasted kinda mouldy, it was so bad that I couldn't eat it.
Have they changed the recipe or is this supply shortage affecting the taste? I hope it's only a temporary issue!
only at some stores I think. I get to choose from 3 stores when I get delivery and two of them don't have the potato and gravy.
