  • Wow. More web hosting sales. What's going on?

I have no idea whether it is a good price, but they look like "very powerful" machines. However,

    1. It's 50GB/100GB data transfer allowance per month, not BANDWIDTH! (I know I know everyone in dedicated server sales say "bandwidth" but that still does not make it right :)

    2. Data is still so expensive in Australia (which is why OzBargain might never come back to be hosted in Australia in foreseeable future).

    3. OzBargain spent around 4 months in Fujitsu data centre in Melbourne. Definitely not the most reliable DC I've experienced before.

    Well. All the best!

    • hey scotty,

I've made the change from bandwidth to data transfer for those who prefer it. In the next couple of months some links are being provisioned into the network to bring an even better hosting experience to our customers, which will prevent a lot of the downtime which has occured in the past, in the future.

    • Agreed with the Aus data sooo expensive.
My site does 2.0 TB per month, and that would cost us tens of thousands in data alone, if using AUS hosting.
