Good price on high speed QLC drive.
Claimed speeds of R/W 3200/3000MB/s

Basically TLC (Rocket) vs QLC (Rocket Q).
Tough Loving Care vs Quality Loving Care.
thought T = Tender
@ltwo: Not according to my ex.
SLC > MLC > TLC > QLC
In lame man terms, SLC = Single compression, QLC = Quad compression.
As y'all know, more compression = slower.
Most QLC drives use an SLC or MLC cache to disguise their slowness.
whats this like for speed compared to the kingston a2000?
A2000 is quoted as: Read up to 2,200MB/s, Write up to 2,000MB/s,
Mind you, at those speeds it much of a muchness.
ohok thanks.
A2000 is TLC, should work faster in many cases (especially to copy large amount to the drive, the speed may drop below HDD level) and be more reliable.
id rather buy this than waiting 2 months for the samsung deal…
The plain Rocket 2TB I got I'm glad I did. It was cheaper than the similarly rated samsung and iirc was rated for even higher speeds. Was still over $400 though.
Question is whether to spend the extra $40 or so to get TLC and Samsung reputation… hmm.
Guys does anyone know who makes their chips?
Micro 96L QLC
Phison E12S controller
Flash memory: Micron 96L QLC
Controller: Phison PS5012-E12S
I have the Rocket 2TB and it's good. I don't know what the Rocket Q is though.
