This has been posted (and deleted) a few times, if i recall correctly. I submit you should take the hint and perhaps cease and desist.

  • +7

I'm really, really curious of any scientific merit behind claiming 24hr protection.

    • You can email us at [email protected] for tests undertaken. The active ingredient in Ayers & Co is a Quaternary Ammonium Compound (QAC’s) that is grafted onto a molecular surface & skin adhesive. This adhesive keeps the antimicrobial in place, helping to protect skin and surfaces for much longer periods of time. QAC's are an everyday antibacterial agent found in products such as soaps, cosmetics & toothpaste. Ayers & Co products are less toxic than vitamin C and coffee and are the safer option for you and your family.

      • Quats (quaternary ammonium compounds) are potent disinfectant chemicals commonly found in disinfectant wipes, sprays and other household cleaners that are designed to kill germs. It is often the stuff that allows a product to claim to be antibacterial, as they are certified by the EPA as pesticides

        • +2

Quats require time to take effect unlike alcohol but even then it's the adhesive that's questionable. Hands are exposed to an awful lot of wear and tear which make them very difficult to protect over a 24hr period.

Not to mention problems with skin irritation.

  • should be good, same as zoono

    • Better than Zoono, Aussie made & owned.

    • Hi Stellaforu, it's a very similar formulation although Ayers & Co is made in Australia and also has a much better fragrance.

  • No Chemicals. Homeopathic crap. May as well use nothing. Please also share the data that shows what your product contains and also trials to back up your claims. Also amazingly, if you put a 1-star review on their site, it doesn't display or go to the product's overall rating. Ozbargain need to ban this seller

    • -3

It is illegal in Australia to make fake reviews on websites. We will take action against you if you continue to create fake reviews. We have no "Jane Smith" as a customer, and it is childish to create a fake email for the review. Our system picks up any fake reviews and automatically will take them down.

      • +1

Sue me. Going to provide your studies to back-up your claims?

        • -1

We will if you continue to make fake reviews.

          • +1

@ayersandco: Don't know what you are talking about. The reviews on your site are fake anyways. Don't trust a company that has top ratings for every product.

          • +1

@ayersandco: Wow, a company threatening an individual over a review?
You may be Australian by birth, but not by attitude.

Can you please advise under which law you would be suing the individual?

The ACCC makes it illegal for a business to utilise fake reviews, but I'd like to see under which law you will sue an individual for a false review.

          • @ayersandco: Sue me too for negging this post. And for saying your attitude stinks 💩 for someone using this free site to peddle their crap.

  • +1

    this is dangerous

    • -2

      Why?

      • +1

Because the claims you make about your product "pricking" germs is total BS. Anyone with any education, in any field of science, would know this

        • -1

Our technology is used by major companies around Australia.

The technology is a physical kill that disrupts the cells membrane by "popping" it on contact.

TGA has approved the use of QAC's against COVID-19 for disinfectants.

          https://www.tga.gov.au/appropriate-use-disinfectants-informa…

Here are some companies using the revolutionary technology

          https://koh.com

          https://zoono.com/

          https://novalentshield.com.au/

And many more. If you travel with Qantas/Jetstar you will be using the technology in the disinfectant wipes given to you.

          • +2

@ayersandco: So not 1 clinical trial or 1 research paper! What's your TGA listing number?
"revolutionary technology", Nice marketing words. QAC's are just surfactants and no surfactant lasts 24hrs, hence we wasj out hands many times a day

          • @ayersandco: From your own link to the TGA
, your product is unsuitable to be used on skin……
            https://www.tga.gov.au/appropriate-use-disinfectants-informa…

"Disinfectants are liquids, sprays and wipes that are designed for use on surfaces to kill germs (microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses). They can play an important role in infection control.

They are not to be taken internally or used on the skin"

@pharmacy You clearly have no background in chemistry and shouldn't even be allowed in a pharmacy with your limited knowledge

          • @chappo77: lol. Triggered much. Just went to uni for 4 years and 1-year post-uni, but I know nothing

            • -3

@Froot Loops: How can you make such ridiculously inept claims with all your "knowledge"?

Look up SiQuat technology - the silane molecules bond to surfaces and the positively charged nitrogen atom attracts negatively charged microbe membranes. A long molecule chain of carbon penetrates the cell membrane to kill the microbe.

I hope that isn't too advanced for you to understand..

Thanks for the fake review you posted without trialling the product. Unfortunately for you only people who have purchased the products can post a review.

              • +5

@chappo77: How do you know they haven't purchased a product lol?

And for a rep, your attitude is very bad. Maybe your employer should give your role to someone with a better attitude to customer service.

                • +2

                  @Omk4r123: Yep.

Im negging this, as any company who threatens an individual with legal action over an opinion (false or not) is not on.

Also, their claim of "germ free"

The term "germs" refers to the >microscopic bacteria, viruses, fungi, and >protozoa that can cause disease.

I dont know of anything except perhaps(?) UV-C that is 100% effective across all 'germs'.

  • +1

    I mean, if the claims are true, this actually isnt a NEW (as in, pandemic new) technology;
why did we ever need alcohol?

Why do we not see your product in the Hospitals?

They look to be a fairly new business
    https://abr.business.gov.au/AbnHistory/View?id=64641107379
And their principal place of business is a unit in an apartment building
    https://connectonline.asic.gov.au/RegistrySearch/faces/landi…

I don't know, if you're able to kill literally all germs for 24 hours, in all honesty, why isn't this the primary item in a health care setting?

Perhaps it's amazing like they claim, but they're some pretty big question marks to ignore.

  • +1

The company's claims only mention efficacy against bacteria with no link to peer-reviewed evidence to back up their claims.
Corona viruses are…..wait for it…..viruses, without a microbial cell wall to disrupt so even if there was efficacy against bacteria, this will be less effective against a virus particle than ethanol. So don't use it as a sanitiser for SARS-CoV-2.
This is a product Pete Evans would be happy to be hawking if he wasn't a discredited idiot
Can a moderator remove this junk "deal" please?
