  • Depends what you mean by best. Do you want something with a good portrait mode? Is wide angle or telephoto lenses important to you? Are you looking for something that can take good photos in the dark? And what about video modes? And also under $1000 is still a large range.

    • Just will be shooting in normal mode in day time, i prefer punchier colours if you get what i mean as in reds are more red and blues are more blue even if its not true to colour

telephotic and wide angle are not important for me

Then any phone with an amoled display and the saturation set to max.

While I'm really not a fan of the phone, my wife's pixel takes by far the best shots we've ever had in our family with zero effort. I've got a samsung S10, and we have a good quality DSLR camera, but the auto processed images that the pixel spits out on the fly with literally no investment are genuinely stellar.

    • Yeah agreed. DSLR/Mirrorless shots definitely have a higher ceiling (i.e. if you know how to use it and post-process shots you can get fantastic images) but if you're just taking candid handheld shots with your phone without editing, the photos are way better than what you can get with a camera!

  • Bought the s20fe prefered the saturation of colours over the pixels 5 after watching comparisons

    • My thoughts and prayers are with you

      • Hmmm
