Generic Universal Remote for Old ~2008 Kogan LCD TV

Hello,

Im looking for a generic remote control for an old 2008ish Kogan TV, its a 42 inch LCD with their own generic brand smart menu. After going back and forth with Kogan for a week they dont seem to have a generic remote (or so the customer rep says) that will pair with the TV i have - assuming they only have newer remotes that will pair with smart TV's etc.

Anyone have an idea on what i should be looking for? im assuming it should be the same as any old generic lcd panel from the late 2000's and i can then hopefully buy a universal remote to just pair it with the kogan and away we go. The issue with the old remote is the channel button is gone so will need a replacement - we currently just use the TV down at the holiday house.

Any assistance would be a great help.

    Purchased one for the in-laws a few weeks ago from Reject Shop. Works a treat if all you want is basic features for a great price.

    You could try Kmart for a cheap $12 universal remote.

    Have you looked on eBay for a used replacement? You might get lucky.

    However, 12 years old from a Kogan TV is pretty impressive.

      Yeah had a look but doesn't appear to be anything that matches. Figured finding a cheap universal would be easier.

      Yeah still going strong after 12-13 years, does what we need it to for a holiday house TV.
