Ourdeal ignoring emails/on line contact form

I ordered Remote Control Flying Shark from Ourdeal. They charged my credit card twice so I sent them an enquiry (ticket number 44480) which they ignored. I then sent them a follow up which they have also ignored. Have used them before for another deal without issue but I suppose you only find out how good they are when you actually have a problem you need them to resolve. Any advice apart from not using them again?

  • Is there an ombudsman that covers their industry? Companies usually hate it when you involve the ombudsman as it involves them paying a fee.

    I'd initiate a chargeback on your credit card, asap.

  • There isn't an ombudsman of group buy sites, just consumer affairs in your state.

    How long ago did you contact them and how long did you wait for a response? If you are unsatisfied with their answer (or no answer), then you can make a complaint through ADMA as they are part of the group buying code of conduct. Ourdeals phone number is Phone: (02) 8305 1800 if you want to try that way.

    Do not initiate a chargeback until you are definitely sure that Ourdeal won't refund your money. Ourdeal (or any merchant in general) can refund you immediately whereas the chargeback process can take up to 60 days.

  • I would initiate a dispute with your bank straight away.

    Often there is a time limit for disputes.

    It would be easier to cancel the banks investigation if Ourdeal do come through via your efforts.

    Simple…don't buy from a site that doesn't have a phone number and real living people to talk to!!!!
