Currently I have one kid with $10/1GB plan with Belong.
I need to get another child a phone.
240$ a year for phone for kids seems a bit much to me.
Do you guys have any other suggestions?

Depending on how much you're paying for your plan & how much data you use, ALDImobile for example have an $80/72GB/Unlimited Calls & SMS pm Family Plan which can be shared between up to 3 other SIM's, and it looks like you can set/adjust data limits for each via their mobile app.
Do you give your kids pocket money to practice finance management? If so, why not let them do research and cone back to you with other suggestions as well?
Your home budget constraints aside, $10/mth is pretty good value consider the needs…

TPG have a $1/month PAYG that comes with 50MB.
This is new to me! Thanks. Might suit OPs daughter if they dont use more than 450MB
Of notes to OP:
prepayment of $20 (which will be automatically topped up if it falls to below $10).
If you do not use the prepayment, it will be forfeited to us when you cancel the service.
If you don’t need any data then there is the $5 p/m dodo plan.
