    • It seems the D9 has better specs but currently having mapping issue. Is the v2 pro reliable?

      • On paper Dreame D9 is better but the user feedback is bad due its ongoing issues and have to rely on firmware updates which has no ETA atm.

      Some credit cards give extended warranty if the original is an Aussie warranty. And looks like Mi themselves offer a care plan (for extra $$)

  • Hey Team, do I need wifi to really use the vacuum cleaner? We only use mobile hotspots when home.
    Is wifi required when setting this thing up or can I just do it all without internet? Thanks

  • Blimey, $299 for the Viomi V2 is an amazing deal. I pulled the trigger on the S5 Max today and had some buyer's remorse as the mopping on the Viomi seems superior.   • I bought V2 off Mi Store directly. Payment has been deducted from account but no order confirmation email. Anyone had similar issues?

        • No worries. I finally decided to buy one too. Figured the deal would likely be gone tomorrow too.

          One thing I found a bit odd is that PC Byte says a 24-month warranty, but no one other sellers offer such a warranty. Is it a mistake or they just being nice?

  • I ordered V3 on Thursday from mi online but have not received any tracking email. Has anyone received tracking email who bought from mi store?

    • Not yet for me. Can see the status as “processing” in their site.

  • I didn't receive tracking or even shipping notification but ordered Thursday or Friday and it arrived Monday. I am very happy with my V2 pro purchase. I am hoping to see the V2 back on sale for $299 so I can buy another!

  • No reply to the email sent on Monday. They charged $10 for delivery and as per website delivery takes 3-5 days. They should at least refund delivery fee for the delay.

    It showed 'In Stock' and said 2 business day delivery but I haven't even got the email saying that it has been shipped yet.

      I’ve emailed them several time as well. No response. It’s really poor customer service. Been 4 business days since purchase, no update and still processing.

      Am pretty sure their resellers would’ve shipped theirs by now.
      I’m trying get hold of panmi which is their local presence here in Australia.

  • Ordered mine from the Mi store last Thursday, no confirmation email or tracking number, but received it in delivery this morning

  • Where does everyone buy their replacement brushes pads etc from for the Viomi v2 Pro?

  • Got a v2 Pro. Has anyone been able to make this POS actually make a map of their house? I've run this about 10 times and it still hasn't done a complete run to be able to save the map. Lots of times it has been stuck without me home. Today had a perfect run except it ran out of battery before getting to the charger and saving the map. Any tips? If it can't make a map it can't mop, which is why I go this to replace my roboking.

    • Lol. Same here. I had trouble with mapping my house. It would run out of battery halfway or get stuck. I had to set “Side sweeping” on so it would only do the edges and enable Silent mode, to save battery. Then babysit it while it did two rounds around the house without fking itself. Then it returns to the dock and saves the map.

      I’ve only tried on standard but it’s shit at picking up dirt from carpet.

  • Received mine today from the mi store. Model I received is the V-RVCLM21B (V2) and not the 2-V-RVCLM21B (V2 Pro). Can anyone else confirm which model they have received please?

    • I received mine today and after seeing your comment checked the model number and it's the same as yours… i've no idea what the difference is, do you? I've emailed them to clarify

      • Upon further review/research, it does appear that this is the V2 Pro Unit. Waiting for email confirmation from the Mi Store.

        • Mine has V-RVCLM21B on box as model, Opened it up and has the 2 in 1 container for dry waste and water
          So is the V2 Pro as V2 doesn't have the 2 in 1

  • I bought V2 on 26/11. No tracking email yet. Emailed the support team yesterday and no response yet…anyone other than me still waiting who ordered from mi store directly on 26/27th November?
    Edit — After reading comments, i checked my Spam folder and found the tracking email sent on 3/12. Courier name "Couriers Please" picked up on 5/12 and no updates since then :(

    • I’m in WA. Couriers please says picked up on the 1st Dec and ETA on the 6th. Stupid me paid express freight so that was a waste. The email from the Mi store apologising for the delay was appreciated, so as long as it rocks up before Christmas it will be ok I guess.

      • I am in Perth opted for regular shipping and they sent using StarTrack aka Aust post and delivered last monday a week after ordering it.

      • Update: Got mine today. Funny how it was 15 days since it left and we’ve got 14 days quarantine into WA from memory. Maybe the courier took a plane and packed it as carry on :)

  • Got mine today but struggling pair it with phone (Xiaomi Home app). Still not successful, anyone know how to do it?

    I google and see a lot of guys have the same problem.

    • Hey man got my robot yesterday and I got ti to pair up after 1 or 2 tries.

      Use mobile data to go into MI Home app create acount then switch to wifi and it will ask you for wifi password. Then go select home appliances and then the xiaomi viomi cleaning robot. Follow the prompt there and the xiaomi viomi robot should show up and then you put phone on top of the cleaning robot and allow it connect up.

      Worked fine for me just a little patience I guess.

      • I still can't connect to it, a $300 junk at the moment. The led is blue blinking all the time. Press Home + Power 3 seconds, it will say "restore to factory setting" and keep blinking blue led. Can't pair with it.
        I can only press Home button, it will run to charging dock. That's it.

        • Ya using Xiaomi Home. You don't need to press home and power together for 3 seconds. Just power it on and do the following steps above. I was confused too when I tried to pair it up but it worked the 2nd time round when I figured out how to pair device lol.

          • @storageguy: Yes, I tried pair it without pressing home + power button even but still can't. It seems my robot is faulty because according to the app, if we can't connect auto, we should able to connect it manual by connecting to a wifi name "xxxx-viomi-xxxx" but I even don't see any wifi like that.
            I'm quite frustrated now.

            • @mquan86: When i did mine .. the vacuum wifi will be enabled and broadcast after i pressed and hold the Home and Power buttons (i just followed the instruction on the quick start). After connected to the vacuum wireless, the Xiaomi home will push the Wifi details to the vacuum to join Home wifi.

                @eecchhoo: OMG, finally, I'm able to fix it. Seems a ridiculous bug or something like that. My robot seems stuck in kind of "brick" state that it won't able to do any thing or won't shutdown when you press and hold the power button 3 seconds. Only thing has effect is press home to drive to charging dock or press Home + Power to hear painful voice "factory setting will be restored". Of course no device wifi show up or can pair with it. Struggling like for whole yesterday.

                The way I found a funny way to fix it. Just press home to let it driving to the charging dock, while it is driving, catch it and turn up side down. It will turn led light to red and complain that put it down. Hold it like that for a while then put it down, it won't move but you can press and hold the power button 3 seconds, then it able to shutdown now. And just turn on it again and bravo, you can setup it normal as instructions.

                Nearly have an expensive door stopper, lolz.
