No I would expect that it would be by redemption so you would have to make a further purchase to redeem.
Gutted… I bought a Z5 literally days ago from another bargain post on here… the price had gone back up about $300 when I checked Amazon earlier today but it's now $200 higher than what I paid.
Will keep an eye on the Black Friday sales and see if it makes sense to reorder the Z5 or a Z6 if they get cheap enough and make use of Amazon's generous change of mind return policy during the holiday season.
I still think the other deal is probably a bit better. This is only $100 better off than the previous deal but doesn't require you to wait for the gift cards and lock you in to buying amazon only.
Yeah, the camera just arrived today. I'm still holding off on playing with it until after Black Friday just in case… but I can't be bothered sending it back for the $100 gift card…
I did get in touch with customer service and cheekily asked for the $300 gift card… They obviously said no but the customer service rep I dealt with did try to get me a $100 card to make up the difference… but on two attempts their supervisor knocked it back, once on their suggestion and again when I suggested I'd just send it back and reorder (supervisor called my bluff :D ). Wasn't expecting to get anything, but if you don't ask, you don't get.
i want to sell my slightly used D750 for Z7 but there is not a single good deal on Z series cameras.

You could use the voucher later towards the Nikon FTZ adapter ($550) or XQD card ($200+).
While there have been better Z6 deals in the past when it was the current model this is the best I've seen for while.
Worth noting in the OP that the gift card has to be spent at the same shop the camera or lens is from.
