Hey all, I recently got a new job as a FIFO worker in Perth and I'm looking to get a Telstra Sim only plan, have you got any other suggestions that would help.
Any suggestion/feedback is appreciated.

I'm sorry, but what are the differences between the two?
He kind of said it above but:
normal telstra network covers 99.4% of Australia while telstra wholesale network covers 98.8% of Australia
Please note this is "Australian population" not Australia as a whole. Basically there are some outback communities and the like which requires that extra few percent. I once lived at one of them, essentially you get no coverage if you live there, or you may get the occasional coverage if you stand on top of a large hill and the wind blows the right way.
What site are you based at? I always just went with full/normal Telstra but you won't need it everywhere so depends where you'll be…They recently forced me on to a higher plan though so I switched to Woolies.
If it's a biggish town, Woolies/Boost would be fine. As an example, you can check the Woolies coverage map
Boost uses the full Telstra network.
Ah sweet!
How come Boost does but other Telstra wholesalers don't?
Because Boost is owned by Telstra
I will be based at the BHP Site Warrawandu, I'm hoping to get a plan with decent data usage which Telstra doesn't have any decent offers comparing to the Optus one I'm using at the moment
I was there for 5 years when they first opened. Nice camp!
There's a tower in the middle of the camp so any Telstra based service will be fine, there is wifi but it was always patchy when I was there.
Just missed the 180gb plan being discounted to $65…Would be a bit cheaper again if you can get the BHP corporate discount?
How much data do you want/need?
I was also looking at that plan the other night too, shame the offer had finished on Sunday night. That would been perfect for me
@jimmytuan: Hit up the online chat and see if they'll still offer it as a new customer…worth a shot
jb hifi 59$ plan. thats what i use

Echo
Just go Boost's 300gb plan.
Telstra's full network, fraction of the price.
Although might run through it fast depending on how much 4k streaming… you do.
Agree that Boost is by far the best option.
Do you require access to the full telstra network or only most of it? (normal telstra network covers 99.4% of Australia while telstra wholesale network covers 98.8% of Australia)
