Damn, just ordered it yesterday for $69…
My first game console was a Sega Megadrive - Sonic was cool, but I should have waited for the SNES with Super Mario World. Made the same mistake again with the PS1, where I thought Crash would fulfil my platform desires but it didn't. Looking at OPs metacritic link, I'm amazed how similar the gameplay of Crash looks compared to 25 years ago.
The gameplay is a deliberate throwback to the original trilogy. There have actually been a bunch of Crash games between PS1 and now that tried new things but most of them kinda sucked.
It's surprisingly my favourite Crash game now.
It has an unlocked framerate but seems to run at a locked 60fps on the PS5 but would imagine the series X would also do the same, Stock PS4 and Xbox One seem to hover at an uneven 30fps fyi.
Is there a simple way to measure this or is this just based off other online sites. Just curious to see what other games are
