YNAB Budgeting Software for ~ $39 (Usually $60) - Today Only

20

This is great budgeting software that I use. It's pretty popular and easy to use, but it's not the cheapest. They don't do discounts very often so thought this might help someone out if they were thinking of buying it.

Ends Monday US time.

YNAB has won a few awards and has good reviews:

The mobile (iPhone/Android) app is also great for tracking transactions on the go - you then sync the transactions to your PC/Mac.

Sync to the cloud is a feature that will be released soon.

There's nothing worth paying for here.
Plenty of other completely free alternatives are more usable and with more features, eg Buddy, JavaBudget, or my personal fave http://sites.google.com/site/dsbudgethome/

I don't see any of the ones you linked to having the ability to import bank transactions. I guess they would be ok in devising an initial budget, but ongoing monitoring, having to put every transaction in by hand would be a real pain in the rear……

      I use neobudget https://neobudget.com/
has a free limited account, or pay $38 per year for full account. Web-based, so can be accessed by any pc/phone, etc.

  • Hmmmm… I was just thinking of looking into some budgeting software. Thanks Stix, I'll look into it. So no issues syncing transactions from the Aus banks?

    • I'm not sure it syncs….. I think you have to manually import..

      • Yeah manual import only. Might be a deal breaker for some but I find it helps track spending when you categorize transactions…and it only takes a couple of minutes.

The mobile app is good as well because as soon as you spend, it only takes a few seconds to enter the transaction and it's ready to sync whenever you're near your PC/Mac again. Sync to the cloud will be even better.
