What to Look for When Buying a TV? (50'' - 55'' Budget $1000)

I'm on the hunt for a 50-55 inch TV during Black Friday sales. Main purpose is watching cricket, footy and Netflix.

Budget is $1000 and below. What should features should I be looking out for (outside of refresh rate)?

  I think it's a different product. That links to an Android TV and three one on Aldi is a Smart TV.

  Gumtree and fb marketplace are filled with spuds selling 5+ year old tvs for 750 bux lol.
