383.72 if you pay in USD (e.g on a card with no exchange fees)

    • Thanks didn't think of that ! :)

  • Shipping & handling: USD 10.74

    For me. Still, good deal.

    • Comes out as 5.44 for me just like OP.

It's a bit convoluted, but can also save another $10 USD through the app.

    1. Go to this page and claim the first app purchase coupon.
    2. Download / Open the Amazon Shopping app and change the region to United States under Settings.
    3. Login into the US account claimed above and it'll deduct $10 at checkout :)

This is the way baby yoda cheers

I wonder if this will work with what @lukethefish mentions above too..

      • It does, but I can't get the voucher to work.

    • Targeted offer.

      • Yeah I have US and AU amazon accounts, didnt work on either. :( Worth a try though, tried with a VPN too, no luck.

  • Great price!

well it might take ages, but at least we might have a crack at getting a new graphics card before then lol

Less 3% via Amazon gift cards if you have access to Suncorp Benefits

    • do the gift cards work on Amazon US?

      • No I don't think they do.

      • Good question. Probably doesn’t work if you ordered in Amazon US but will work if you ordered from Amazon AU.

      • Once you redeem the giftcard it'll automatically add the amount to your balance. So you could try it. At the checkout you should be able to see if the balance can be applied but I did find this:

        https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/help/customer/display.html?node…

Neither your Amazon.com.au Balance nor your Gift Cards may be applied to the purchase of products at www.amazon.com

If it can not I'm really surprised. Some of those terms are a joke. A gift card is the equivalent of cash to me in the context to what ever online store or in-person shop you purchase it from and should have that same use.

  • 1month+ delivery time PLUS expect small items to be delivered inside a satchel(both delivery of my crucial ballistix ram arrived took well over 1 month and inside a satchel, the ram boxes were damaged).

Just wait until Boxing Day, or even into the new year.

High density SSDs are obviously coming down in price a lot, and will probably be lower than this in two months time when these are expected to be delivered.

I almost bought one yesterday but if you compare its performance with Silicone Power, SP has a better performance than this Samsung model and you don't need to worry about this US import thing.

I'm a Samsung fan but I'll watch out for SP 2TB instead.

What info are you going off of here?

    • +1

By what metric does the sillicon power ssd beat this?

    • username checked

    • -3

Jesus Christ, people buy parts only by famous brand and cheap price, ffs.

Do some performance resources before buying computer parts in special people, it doesn't kill anybody.
      Damn (sighs )

    • +1

Which Silicon Power SSD are you referring to?

      • -1

        P34A80: https://versus.com/en/samsung-970-evo-nvme-m-2-2280-2tb-vs-s…

SP P34A80 2TB: 3400/3000 rw PCIe Gen 3x4: $395 —> This alone has better performance than Evo, Evo Plus, PRO is not much different either. SP is cheaper with better performance

SP P44US7 2TB: 5000/4400 rw PCIe Gen 4: 550 —> No much to add here. Evo PRO is Gen 3x4 and won't reach those speeds.

@HaveANiceDay again, I am a huge fan of Samsung but you start to realise that name is not everything.

        • +1

I don't recommend using versus. It's comparing purely specs which does not indicate better performance.

I do agree that the Silicon Power does provide better performance per dollar if it were to be on sale, however it does not preform better.

The Evo Plus seems to preform a lot better under sustained workloads. However the SP does seem to perform better with short bursts in some cases.

@HaveANiceDay: @HaveANiceDay thank you very much.

Finally, someone that talks, point out differences rather than just negative the comments like those girls above us.
I will have a look into the "not so good" you pointed out.

            Cheers.

  • such a shame sx8200 pro changed it's components for cheaper parts https://www.tomshardware.com/news/adata-xpg-sx8200-pro-contr… when it beats the 970 lineup price to performance

    • I bought a 2TB unit back in August/Sept and it came with the older superior SM2262EN controller. Also lots of reports on reddit people getting the SM2262EN controller, starting to wonder if the 2TB units got the downgraded(SM2262G) controller or not..
