Jurassic Park Ultimate Trilogy: Limited Collectors Edition ~AUD $37.30 Delivered @ Amazon UK

190

Just saw $22 price drop for Jurassic Park Ultimate Trilogy Limited Collector's edition (the one with the tin box). This is the one with the tin box and, booklets, posters, picture cards, stickers (so basically, nothing too interesting), not the one with the dinosaur statue (still not very interesting). But this is actually now cheaper than the regular boxset, and not much more than the crappy UK lightning deal that was posted a few times last week.

Region-free for Australia as the UK has the same Blu-ray region.

Price History at C CamelCamelCamel K Keepa.

Lol you would be pissed if you bought the lightening deal for bout the same price for the normal version

  • Worked out at $44.78 when I went to buy it.

Thats if you don't choose the free shipping. With free its around $36

      • Thanks, I didn't see that the free shipping option was available for Aus, so have now bought one. Came to $38.67.

        Also thanks to the OP.

  • If you have an Aussie bank's Credit Card Is there any advantage in using the Amazon AUD$ currency option rather than the GBP ie does it avoid any foreign conversion fees etc
With My CC rate is currently (A1: 0.60 GBP) seems I might be 20c better using Amazon

You get charged in AU$, therefore you are not charged any fees by your CC company. But I have found Amazon's rate is too much, even when factoring this in.

    • +1

Depends on your credit card currency conversion fee. Normally its cheaper to order in AUd, some cards it is worth ordering in GBP

check the terms and conditions of your credit card. I have a woolworths qantas card which is run by hsbc and they add a 3% charge for either foreign currency or when the merchant is not based in Australia.

Recently got stung on a paypal transaction in AUD from a UK registered paypal account. Very sneaky and the first time I have seen a credit card company do this.

  • I want the statue one

Robin Hood / Gladiator Double Pack Also about Au$12 atm
And for those who missed the lightening sale, Toy Story Trilogy is about Au$21 also

  • Great deal, but if JB doesnt jack up the price then at there next 20% off sale you can get a local "Digipak" version for $44AUD with DVD instead of Digi Dwld

  • Hmm…Jurassic park is my favorite film, but I really don't feel like to fork out this much for all 3, especially when I keep hearing bad stories regarding this trilogy transfer. Still waiting on more price drop :P

imo, The transfer is great, but people just keep expecting movies to be crystal clear and look like they were made yesterday.

  • I never get it!

    the movie is = £27.97
the exchange rate is: 1 GBP = 1.6576496445 AUD
    £23.31(VAT removed) = AUD$38.64

why do you guys keep saying it's AUD $36?
just like the previous lightning deal, it was around $39 when I checked!

    • I get au$37.23 by simply putting '23.30 gbp to aud' in google search bar

It's defiantly not $36 though, especially if you use amazons currency converter

      • the exchange rate I used above is the AmazonUK rate

      • I think I used Google to do the conversion as well, but may have mistyped. Title edited. Amazon's currency conversion rates are worse than what you would normally get with your bank, especially if you have the right credit card.

I think the lightning deals were for the standard boxset, not the collector's edition tin, for £23.97 with free shipping (that was the original lightning deal price, can't remember if the subsequent reappearances were cheaper - but VAT can't be removed, so it was a bad deal for non UK/EU buyers).

I actually waited for the lightning deal on Friday night for the standard boxset, and was actually quite mad that I missed out (I pressed the "add to cart" button about 10 seconds after the deal went live, but was only added to the "waitlist") - not any more :)

There's goimg to be another Jurassic park movie coming out, might be better to wait for the entire film so its complete then buy it.

    • +1

Given the way Hollywood loves to do re-makes and sequels, this might as well apply to every movie.

    • It wouldn't be for 3 years or so since they haven't even decided on a story. The Jurassic park 4 rumors have been around for years
