Recommendations for Wireless doorbell chime

I am looking for a good quality wireless door chime with flashing light with a budget upto 30$. In future, I have plans to replace it later with a video door bell, so just looking at it as a temporary solution.

I have shortlisted [Kogan Battery-Free Wireless Digital Doorbell] (https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-battery-free-wireless-dig…) which is 29.99$ and seems to have lot of good reviews but I am always sceptical about such reviews.

So wondering if anyone here has any experience with this product or has any other product recommendations.

I know it is only $30 but I'd get one from Bunnings over Kogan any day and if you don't like it you can always take it back.

  • Showing as $19.99 for me.

  • This one works well for under $12. I use one modified in my letterbox to let me know when there is mail.

    • what modification did you do ? Is it like whenever delivery person drops the packet in the mailbox, they push the button to notify you? then what do you use for guests ?

      • I added a lever operated micro switch across the push button contacts with a capacitor and resistor so the doorbell only rings once while a letter is in the box. I also added a LED to the receiver that stays on if we are not home so we know if there has been a delivery.

We still have an old school direct wired ding dong door bell for visitors.

    • Reason I liked the Kogan one is because it has
      * separate kinetic push button and LED light
      * Up to 150m operating distance
      * Battery-free push button with up to 200,000 press lifetime
      * IP44 Water-resistant push button
      * 4 Levels of adjustable volume with 32 customisable chime sounds

  • Was looking at the Kogan one but got this one , works great for $23.93 on promo.

    • This is actually good. What about its battery type and is it easily available and replaceable ?
The description doesn't say anything about it.

    • can you please share the promo on which you got it for 23.93$ ?

      • Sorry long gone that was back in August, comes up on Amazon now and again.

        • thanks for your prompt response.

  • Battery very easy to replace (just order battery of Ebay), have had the unit since August with no problems at all . I find it's great having 2 receivers as I have placed one at the front of the house while the other one at the rear so I can hear it in the back garden.

    • Thanks and whats the battery type like AA or AAA etc?
