I am about to order the parts on Mwave, but just wondering is there going to be better deal for PC parts on Black Friday?
Building My First PC Now or Wait for Black Friday?
Comments
The problem is not the black friday prices, it's the availability of parts. Everything from cpu to graphics cards, motherboards and cases are hard to get now especially since the launch of the new ryzen, some of us are still waiting for pre orders from a week ago.
Black Friday and xmas holiday shopping seasons have very little impact on the pricing of core computer parts.
For peripherals, accessories and cables, sure there might be some leeway on profit margin but don't expect firesales on CPU, RAM storage and GPU's.
This… the reason why I got techfast last week lol
Depends how long you are prepared to wait. You will always be able to find something at a good deal but not everything at once (at least in my experience).
I'm currently building a PC and it's been a very slow burn process but as a result I have saved close to 2k by buying parts on special. C19 isn't making things any better but with the intro of new tech with low stock availability it's compounding the issue.I would make a build via www.pcpartpicker.com and make sure all components play well with each other. This will also give you a baseline for a budget, options on where to buy hardware you may have not considered yet and something to reference if hardware is on special/a good buy.
In the same boat. I'm going to try and snap a 6800x at launch and rest of components like ram, motherboard, PSU, case i am going to wait till black friday for the deals who knows what would we have. For CPU gotta cop it at RRP as well i reckon for a 5600x.
Same boat here.
I'm currently in the market for everything other than a GPU (which i'm happy to wait another 6 months). I'm planning on building say Jan 2021
I'm keeping an keen eye out for bargain 32 gig (4x8gig) low profile ram, SFX PSU, 550 or 570 motherboard, 1-2tb Nvme.
I doubt very much i'll get a bargain on a 5600x or my preferred case (Lian Li 011 dynamic mini) which is yet to be released. From what I can tell, most stuff that's on sale on Black Friday is the more budget range/clearance range when it comes to tech. So definitely wait if you're fine with budget components, but if you have a decent budget - you can start now.
I would strongly recommend using PC Part Picker as you can build your theoretical computer in there (and it will even let you know of any incompatibilities), see historical pricing of your components, and even set price alerts for price drops on specific components. If you're considering a 3080 for your new build, all I can say is good luck.
My crystal ball is on the fritz sorry.
It's hard to say. I'm suspecting no, but this could be my mistaken impression that suppliers are having some supply chain issues that might not be the case.
I guess there are always suppliers trying to get rid of excess stock, so you could be in luck if you wait.
