Facebook Private Group Video Downloading Broken???

Hi all

The gym close to where I live set up a private FB group during lockdown and gave free access to those who signed up to take part in their virtual classes that they were running. I have been able to save some of the videos from the group but since FB changed its appearance I no longer can capture the videos using the online sites that I used to use.

Anybody know if FB changed their security to restrict the use of the online sites that you used to be able to use to bypass grabbing videos from private groups?

      I have got JD installed but either I am doing something wrong or it no longer works since FB updated their site.

      I have opened the video in its own tab but when I add the link JD shows that the video is unavailable online.

      Unless I am doing something wrong.

        JD doesn't download private videos, only publicly shared ones.
        Even then, it doesn't work all the time.

    I've notice that not all private videos exhibit the same behaviour. Some I can still download by using the mobile site on the desktop (m.facebook.com).

      I wonder what differentiates them. I just tried using the mobile site and the same video still shows as unavailable.

      I suspect someone will work out whatever FB have done and bypass it but maybe just got to wait.

      Didn't think of that. Is that built into W10?

      Edit: found it, part of the Game bar. Will give it a go.
