  • Does anyone have experience with these products? A mini-review would be great :)

Have been using it for a year… No complaints, no hassles, just works

I have this system and totally love it. The cameras are very clear and it's all very easy to use.

Second that. Exact same system and it works fab.
      No regrets whatsoever.

They are great units, One of the best for consumer home surveillance choices.

  • does this system works with mobile wi-fi? I do not have NBN (router). Thanks in advance

  • IMO Get a Dahua system for $200 from China today and buy a $140 4TB HDD separately.

    • I've looked, could you recommend a product online to do this and a HDD that would be easy to set up with it please?

      • It's a bit complicated, no english on taobao or tmall, and you'll need to do package transit. For example,
        https://m.tb.cn/h.4dSCc1k?sm=0ed441
        https://m.tb.cn/h.4WcgrE4?sm=cfac5b

        • Thanks. I can deal with the language. Is there a service provider for the package transit you mention. I assume this is like rakutan from Japan to convert domestic to international shipping?

          • @Appleboat: I'm using a small provider in Shanghai. But I cannot review their service as I don't have much experience either. Please try searching" taobao agent" "package forwarding". Now I guess buying directly from Aliexpress is actually very good for the majority.

    • Then brick the camera with a update

  • Hey rep, when will the upgraded version with human detection be available??? I'm looking to replace some Eufy 2Cs (with human detection) and dont want to get 1000 notifications a day for every leaf, bug or cat that walks through my front yard

    • Around two months, you can subscribe to it and receive a notification when it arrives

      • Human detection is what I am after too, totally wireless if possible I can find these but within China only now so far as I can tell

        https://m.intl.taobao.com/detail/detail.html?id=629034629588…

        • Battery solar have PIR sensors so it's better human detection than AI software would have. Unless you get alot of shade or cloud the solar panels are sufficient enough to keep them powered but the downside is they don't record 24/7.

For that high end PoE cameras with PIR exist but are $.

A normal wireless camera connected to something like surveillance station do have AI software for human detect so you could use any wireless camera with onvif support.

Reolink do have PoE cameras with AI

          • @DoesntEvenMatter: Thanks for this. I ended up getting a few Reolink Argus 3s a s a result with solar. Not so cheap but hopefully do the job. I've programed basic visual AI so was hoping to find something that uses that as it is pretty amazing. I wonder if the Argus 3s will every be capable as I imagine this is on the software side not the hardware side?

            • @Appleboat: It's both. They have PIR sensors on them which wakes them from their sleep to start the recording and send you a notification. As I said before be away that they arnt 24/7 cams and can't be linked to a NVR or 3rd party recorder
