  • God i need the RGB

  • Are these Individually Addressable?

    • +1

      Highly doubt it

    • The images in the link show R, G, B and +12V rather than power, data and ground so I'd say very much no

      • If the pictures are accurate, these look like SMD5050 strips which are not individually addressable.

If you are looking for individually addressable strips (such like you can do rainbow effects), then you'll need WS2812B or SK6812 (RGBW).

Imo stick with WS2812B, controllers are not great at controlling SK6812 yet, and none that are automation compatible.

  • If you cut it into smaller pieces where will the strips get the power from coz 5m is way too long for me to use.

    • Hi, this LED light strip is cuttable and linkable. You can customize the length you like. After cutting, you can directly use the solderless pin-to-pin connector to connect them:)

      • If you have to link it, is this mean the strip that has been cut has to be right next to it or very close and can't be used in another room?

        • Hi, the strip that has been cut can be throw away. It only has one power supply, so you can't use the strip that has been cut off in another room.

        • if you plan on using the same power source and controller then yes, unless you can run wires between them. If you plan on using the other part in a diff room with a separate PSU & controller then you are all good.

  • Can we buy these extra pins as well

  • Are they waterproof??

    • Yes, they are IP65 waterproof.

Naturally it's very different to these cheaper options…
    NOT

    $21.99 free shipping
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/5M-10M-20M-3528-RGB-LED-Strip-Li…

    $18.99 free shipping
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/10-20M-WATERPROOF-LED-RGB-STRIP-…

    And I could go on.

No this one is different from yours,
Yours are 3528 type which cheaper , and less bright and shorter life, check 5050 type on ebay when you go on there not the price you can find.
And yours is no wireless, cant use app on phone, Alexa.sign voice, music etc.
      Yours has to use remote.

    • Yeah, none of those options you've posted have either Google Assistant or Alexa Echo support.

  • Is the control box (not the power brick) also waterproof?

I wish to use 2 sets for vehicle underglow on a lowrider project.

    • Hi, the control box is not waterproof. Only the strip is IP65 waterproof.

      • Is there one that I can connect to the outdoor powerpoint and use for outdoor?

  • Hi OP, bought a unit from you. Once the LED strip are cut, how do you joint them together? Is there a 90 degree bend clip which would be compatible?

    • youll need to solder them again or use connectors, or a combination of both. Like these

Depending on what kind of strips they are, could be WS2812, SK6812, WS2815

From the pictures it looks like they are WS2811 (RGB 4 pin), which means they are not individually addressable

You can save a little money by going with the options below, depending if you need shorter lengths. Can be a little hit and miss with quality and you'll have to wait like 6 weeks but if this doesnt float your boat, my suggestion is much more customisable. If you have a reasonable case for the item not working properly Aliexpress will usually look after you.
Asakuki stuff is usually pretty alright though.

I usually prefer tighter packed LEDs, the only way to do that is to go the route below.

    SP501E ~$10
    WS2812B strip $3-$17
    Power Supply
