for $700+ i expecting wireless charging and screen fingerprint? maybe too much to ask?

    • +2

But it does have the Snapdragon 865, so this is one of the cheapest phones containing the chip.

    • +7

Jesus people on this site have far too big a hardon for wireless charging. I would rather a better SoC than some gimmick that only has practical use for handsfree car holders.

      • +1

It's more convenient for everyday charging, and much more convenient for car holders. For me the convenience of wireless charging is way more noticable comparing to the difference of the top/next SoC.

        • +2

I understand the point about car holders, but come on - it is not more convenient for everyday charging. Not only do you need an extra accessory pad to actually utilise it, which also takes up desk space, it is also demonstrably slower than modern fast charging (see: Dart/Warp Charge).

Each to their own, but it is a feature that is absurdly overhyped by many.

          • @skzi: I found it's more convenient for overnight charging, I just place the phone on charger without looking for a cable. For overnight slower charging would be even an advantage since it reduces the battery degradation. But the car was the main reason to get the wireless charger.

            • @DmytroP: You do realise charging your phone to 100% all the time degrades your battery

            • @DmytroP: You know what else reduces battery degradation? Not charging it overnight. Then you can use one of these sci-fi new fast charge technologies to put it on charge for 30 minutes before you leave for work and you're good to go.

              It's crazy, I know.

              • @skzi: It's quite close to what I was doing before WFH. Wireless charging in a car during commuting was enough to keep the phone charged without using overnight charging at all. This was probably the best battery life wise, to have it charged with the reasonable current, keeping the charge level around 40-80% range all the time.

          • @skzi: Warp charging for 30 minutes is far easier than wireless for 2-3 hours in my experience.

          • @skzi: During the day when i'm working, i'm constantly picking up and using my phone, and putting it back down. Not having to plug and unplug my phone each time is quite useful. Over the course of the day, without any form of charging, I could be down to 30-40%. Which means that if I head out after work etc., I could be on low battery by the end of the night.

The wireless mat allows me to keep it topped up and finish work with a full charge with minimal extra effort on my part.

Depending on the phone, some of the wireless charging is very fast. 50W wireless on the Xiaomi mi 10 Pro.

  • @op the coupons link take me to a blank search page. 😔

    • Working on my end via desktop. See here

That's a lot of phone for that price - does Xiaomi provide any sort of international warranty? I seem to recall one of these chinese phone companies does a pretty good job with those.

The reviews are for a different phone model… mi10t pro camera isnt as good.

        OK, nice to know, cheers

    • you have to buy xiaomi via xiaomi australia for "australian price and warranty"
and I dont think they have xiaomi 10

    LCD screen….

  • I think the main differences between the 10T and 10T Pro are the main camera and OIS. (and +2grams extra ;)

      and RAM

My bad. Last time the 10T was on ozbargain, it was the 8GB version. Seems that the price is even lower for $594 here before shipping.

        • I just noticed that Tecobuy currently has a Black Friday code for an extra 3% off meaning it's $591.18 delivered (if you choose standard delivery).

          • @hoju83: They have an "exclusive discount" for birthdays I think, too

          • @hoju83: I THINK that this one is the Chinese version, B28 is not listed under the available network bands.

waiting for @jackyinyourbox to comment on CCP phone ………. LOL

  • Where is everyone buying cases from? I see ones in China on eBay but delivery is mid-Dec to mid-Jan?

    • Yeah same. Cant find any local ones unfortunately.

  • Bought one finally! Thx @adr8

  • 10T Pro has no headphone socket.

9T Pro had the headphone socket.

  • Is there a 10T Lite anywhere?

    • The reviews for 10T Lite don't look too good though.

  • US$90* - are these coupons still available? Can't see them and without it it's not even close to the price (obviously)

    • None left.

If anyone interested: tobydeals, mi10t 8/128, black, international for 578.55AUD delivered

  • Has anyone bought a phone from the seller?

I sitll havent received the phone i ordered on the 11.11.

The seller tried to ask more money for shipping despite having paid $23 for shipping when it was free before 11.11 and then they told me to provide another address and then told me there is no more stock of the phone i ordered despite their store on aliexpress showing stock!!
Now they are asking me to wait for stock. Sounds like they dont want to sell the phone to me.
