  • I wonder if there is a good way to mount this on a bike?

    • +3

I was hopeful that nitecore would have alternative mounting options for their TIP SE model but just a flimsy plastic clip in that case. Seems strange to make such high quality casings then cheap out on the clips/lack of mounts.

      • +3

The TIP SE and the TUP are keychain / key fob class lights that are not designed for biking as their beam profile are not optimised for biking (too floody and they will blind incoming traffic such as other pedestrians and vehicles) and just as important, they won't last long enough due to having such a small battery.

I do agree that having an option to mount is better than no option but again, these lights aren't a barrel shape so they probably won't fit well in universal bike mounts.

Here are some bike mounts that people usually recommend for normal flashlights:

        • Nice reply.

Yes, agreed…the light can be blinding !

The TUP also is 1000-lumens, but it's only 1000-lumens effectively
for an impractically short amount of time.

        • Thanks for the info guys

Please add GST to price total.

Also shipping is at least $0.04 so you should include that too.

    • +4

Indeed, gst is not variable, nor is it avoidable, thus it must be included.

    Micro USB. No thanks.

    • +1

Only a fraction of lights have usb-c charging. The TiP SE does.

      • OK, ta…… Not a big deal…… But the sooner I get micro USB out of my life the better!

  • Wish I had more than two hands with all these flashlight deals 🧐

    • may be time to get a headlamp!

  • I hate gearbest I paid them on 15th September for xiaomi pocophone x3 and they said they will ship in 2 weeks. every time I asked i was told two weeks waiting time and the reason was given every time that it is high demand. they sold it cheaper on 11.11 sale and I am still waiting given me a tracking number which ends up nowhere. very soft language used by translator software but very bad people and service. series of lies is their passion be careful of these bunch of liars.

  • this Nitecore TUP is now AU$ 54.20 (before GST), so it's even cheaper now.
