Keji 2000mAh Powerbank Black $4.98 @ Officeworks

61

A really cheap power bank.

2000mAh.
Includes a USB cable

It's a basic power bank that could be useful for powering cheap devices like a Raspberry Pi Zero.

If you want to charge your phone, then there are definitely better options available that start at around $10. Have a look at other deals on OzBargain.

Max Electric Current (amps): 1 A

    • Wtf

      • +2

Not surprising for old stock on a small power bank but essentially this can't deliver enough current to charge most recent devices.

        • +10

          Wouldn't even charge a fart

@Willco88: I'm going to take your word on that and not test for myself…

        • +4

can't deliver enough current to charge most recent devices.

It should charge at the same speed as Apple's 5W USB Power Adapter - that was included in the box from iPhone 5 all the way to iPhone 11.

but essentially this can't deliver enough current to charge most recent devices.

Devices will charge with 1A, just slowly.

Apple had shipped a 5W USB Adapter (5 volts at 1 amp) with the following devices.

      iPhone 5
      iPhone 5c
      iPhone 5s
      iPhone SE (1st generation)
      iPhone 6 Plus
      iPhone 6
      iPhone 6s Plus
      iPhone 6s
      iPhone 7 Plus
      iPhone 7
      iPhone 8 Plus
      iPhone 8
      iPhone X
      iPhone XR
      iPhone XS Max
      iPhone XS
      iPhone SE (2nd generation)

      • Mrs iPhone 11 has USB 1amp also. Lol what a joke

Good for use with USB lights

Too small (mAh) and super slow. No deal.

What do you expect for $4.98?

        • Might as well get this one.

Not available online and limited stock in selected stores.

        • It is indeed a, hot price.
Got this electrical smell when I was charging it. It went straight back.
Honestly? Don't be tight and spend another $5 on a powerbank.

            Don't be tight

            Username doesn't check out.

            • @[Deactivated]: Be tight about many things. However, don't get the cheapest piece of technology or electronic you can find.
The cheapest laptop/phone/powerbank/tablet give a world of pain. I was dumb enough to make that mistake multiple times.

              Similar one at Kmart $4.75

              • @pennypincher98: I wouldn't buy this myself, but it could be useful to someone looking to power some cheap USB devices.

                  I wouldn't buy this myself

That's normally what decides whether I post something. I have low standards and if I wouldn't buy it for myself I couldn't recommend anyone else to.

    • Admittingly though good deal, poor value.

  • Basically buying landfill

  • Would this have one 18650 battery inside?

    • +2

Yes one 18650 and a small pcb that ups the voltage to 5v

      • So you're paying $4.98 for 1 battery and the rest goes to landfill. The battery probably is probably mediocre too and joins the rest in a few weeks time.

  • -1

    Worst junk brand ever.
Better to get an 18650 housing which will last "forever" with battery swaps.
