Added to title.
That's cheap.
Apparently I heard that the RGB makes it faster because the excitation of the silcon chips from the RGB light causes the electrons to transition orbitals more readily thus increasing speed and reduces transition (lag) time.
Does anyone know if this is true or not
Man… you know it's a good troll when you genuinely cant even tell if the person is serious or not.
I dont know what chickendinner is talking about but, everyone knows you can just download more ram https://downloadmoreram.com/
can confirm this is indeed true!
Finally an actual technical reason why RGB is faster.
A good indicator of performance is: the faster the colour changes, the faster the RAM.
Exactly. Most people think red will make it go faster but red has a lower photon energy. The colour you really want is blue - violet. The lower wavelength (hence greater frequency) means a blue photon will have more energy thus making the electron more energetic when it transitions.
Physics 101 Sheeple.
Please do not spread this nonsense. My son spent a lot of money on new gear on RGB because of people like you joking about this. I have done extensive research (Google and Read it) and there is absolutely NO evidence that the RGB increase speed. I even bought NON-RGB equipment (product recommendations from Ozbargain of course) and tested it side-by-side with my son to educate him and develop critical-thinking skills.
Testing was conducted over multiple sessions on various computers and in various configurations: RGB, R-only, B-only, no-RGB, different BIOS, etc. etc. In every setting, we measured absolute speed of 0.00m/s. No difference!
Please, do not waste your money on RGB. Instead, save up $80,000 for a high-yield investment car.
How good is your gaming chair tho
Give me them thicc transition orbitals.
What's better for games with AMD zen 3 - 3200mhz c16 or 3600mhz c18?
Higher Mhz should be better, or get these https://www.amazon.com.au/Crucial-Ballistix-Unbuffered-PC4-1…
their 3600MHz and C16
No RGB!
It has loads of RGB at the subatomic level.
Buy now or wait for Black Friday?
I suspect buy later if you don't mind waiting
I think that this is a better deal (buy 2 for 36Gb): https://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/g.skill-ripjaws-v-16g…
no rgb different league altogether
Is it really?
- Lower CAS latency (C16 vs C18)
- More physical sticks to get same RAM (4 vs 2)
- Costs more ($238 vs $219)
- No RGB option
C18 in case people are wondering.
