Are you sure that free shipping applies when sending to Australia?
Just tried to check out 100 GBP worth to confirm, and it looks like it's charging the standard 14.95 GBP shipping to Australia…
I tried too, doesnt seem to work
Apologies, a few teething problems - the free delivery is working now. I can confirm that delivery takes maximum 15 working days to Australia http://www.ctshirts.co.uk/Delivery-and-Returns?cnt=delivery-…
i forgot someone on the other thread mentioned about a shirt manufacturer with their slim fit styles are actually VERY BIG. is it CT or someone else?
edit. found it is TM not CT.
so, how much each shirts delivered aud $40 each with that 4for 100pound?
It is also true for CT shirts. I would recommend going one size down.
Yes, works out roughly around $40 aud. Great shirts at very reasonable price. Certainly better than the most of the over inflated crap they sell in Myer. I'm very happy with mine.
Guys, use code LSKU1 to get another 10 pounds off the price. I just tried this at checkout (haven't submitted) and it shows 4 shirts for 90 pounds with free delivery.
EDIT: scrap that, after clicking around and going back to shopping cart, it's not showing free delivery anymore. I guess you can't it's either free delivery or 10 pounds off but not both.
Now it's showing free delivery with 10 pounds off. Looks like the site is tempermental.
I've placed my order and can confirm that you can get free delivery and 10 pounds off using LSKU1.
No Deal.
CT now charge international customers VAT (english version of GST which i think is 15%?). I use to order all my shirts from CT when they were 4 for 100 pounds. Used to Add the postage and minus the VAT roughly worked out to be free postage all the time.
Now they are charging VAT, this is subsidising the cost of the “free postage” deal.
Very lucrative marketing and it might even be illegal to charge "tax" and not actually pass on the funds to the English version the ATO.
If the rep can confirm that they have stopped charging international customers VAT I will happily remove this comment and my neg… and might even order a few more shirts!
agree. rep, please confirm. i bought from Haws Curt and they remove VAT so why cant you do the same.
This is in their T&C
"6.4.2 Charles Tyrwhitt has a policy of charging all customers the same throughout the world, so that the price paid in pounds sterling is the same wherever customers live (except for the cost of delivery). None of the significant additional administrative costs for overseas orders are passed on to customers. Equally, an effective reduction in prices through reclaiming VAT is not available."
I would like to see what "additional administration" is involved in processing an international order compared to a domestic order and if it is justified at a 15% premium.
Every other retailer from the UK that i have purchased from deduct VAT, as did CT use to do. Looks like someone decided one day "lets bend over our loyal customer base and make an extra 15% revenue!"
Not cool!
Mate, you are are totally wrong - VAT is 20% now ; )
I seriously doubt that Rep will discuss such hm… 'sensitive' question.
Anyway, CT shirts are really good if your body (or wallet) does not fit into standard Myer's choice.
I just bought 4 shirts from CT last week. Rep, can you take the delivery off that?
free delivery to Australia pls ~~~
Thanks. Excellent quality for the price.
Rep, could you please confirm whether it is possible to buy the shirts online without VAT?
And also, how long will it take to deliver them to AU?
