Version 3 is great to use. Version 4 has magnetic attachments is more convenient, but more expensive.
I think that magnetic hook makes huge difference. A bit pricy though
The magentic sticker is one time use only, so once used, you cant pull out and use for another phone, plus have the chance of magnets failing over time.

It stabilises video significantly, particularly while you're moving. You can also designate an object onscreen and the phone will automatically tilt/pan to keep the object in the center of the screen.
@Jonzay: There's a DJI Mimo App that can be used in conjunction with this gimbal. You'll be able to create some short video content more easily too. I remember seeing some YouTube videos about this when it was first launched.

watch some youtube ones .. they are 2 different categories of stabilizations ( not that which one is better, they are for different purposes)

160g is within payload specs. stablisation is just external axis. So works with the inbuilt iphone 12 stablisation and help negate jerkiness of foot movements/arm shaking.
that said, its about phone sizes and weight distribution in my experiences that tips it off balance. See below comment, everyday normal use is fine.

owning smooth 4, any payload around 200g are very close for phones coming out these days paired with a case. if you're into phone videography adding a single lens like a moment or anamorphic will tip it out of balance due to weight distribution. Currently testing counterweights as the imbalance create overheating in motors.
Normal use is fine. Just posting my experience with mobile gimbals. did have a vimble 2 at one point, definitely not good that one.

mid-ranged phones released 2017 onwards will have decent optical image stabilisation or digital stabilisation. Unless you're filming for IGTV, Social Marketing, creating film shorts etc, mobile gimbal isn't necessary. The main benefits of gimbals apart from the extra axis stablisation is the remote controls, allows filmmakers more fine tune control (focus pulling or exposure control).
Main benefit: Record action videos that with smooth movements and do not make people dizzy.
It is more useful when you are walking/running while recording. If you are sitting while recording, then this may not be too useful.

don't know why i was negged. Made a opinion that phones these days have decent inbuilt stabilisation for everyday use. Just helping those who thinking that they need a gimbal for your average user.
