Hey guys,

I just noticed that ebay digidirect is having sales. I noticed this lens collide with Sony Cash back and I checked Digidirect website. They do have a $300 cash back reward on it. It seems like this lens is even cheaper than Sigma 24-70mm at the moment so get in!

  I wouldn't rely on shopback and cashback. All the high value items ive purchased never got tracked. Anything over $1000 always missed the rewards even though ive done them on the app itself so it couldn't go wrong.

    Yep! That's why I didn't include that 2% cash back in there. It is always a gamble with cashreward and shopback.

    You have to purchase this via Ebay. Then you can just go to sony cash back website to get $300 cash back. Since, Sony only tracks from which store you purchase from (Digidirect)

        It should be. When digidirect ships, they usually just send out a docket slip which contains order number. You can use that number to go on digidirect.com.au to request for tax invoice/receipt.

                @RichieVn: Sigma is lighter and little bit slower on focus
                Color, I think it is not as warm as Sony but can be fix in post.

                Overall, I was comparing between this and sigma with price range $2300 to $1800…
                Now that Sony is around $1800…I would have loved to just spend extra 100 bucks for Sony.

                  @Jetkuma: what gimbal do you use? because i rented the 24-70 GM and used it on my sony a7siii + weebill S and it struggled a bit. so maybe Sigma would have been a better idea - so be good to know if that's a similar setup you used?

              @RichieVn: I just spoke to Digidirect. They said they you can order from Digidirect Ebay store. Then you go on Digidirect and request tax invoice. Use that tax invoice to claim cash back. Here are my conversation:

              Hi James, I purchased something from Digidirect ebay store. Will I be able to obtain a tax invoice from digidirect directly for items that purchased? Since the item shipped didn't have a tax invoice

              Hi X, what's your order number?

              I haven't purchased anything from ebay yet. I just wanted to make sure since I want to see if Sony Cashback also apply

              Yeah we can send you a tax invoice :)

              You would need to wait till item delivered then request tax invoice.

  Very good price, but this store has a habit of cancelling EBay orders (not in stock) and blame buyers “Buyer requested cancellation”. Speaking from experience and other feedbacks on EBay.
