Recommendation for Thermos for Work (450ml to 1. 25L)

Looking for Thermos for work mostly.

Anyone to avoid or what's the gold standard in this field.

Size between 450mL and 1.25L leaning on the smaller side I guess just big enough to fit the largest size coffee.

Mainly to just quiet co workers who keep telling me to bring a keep cup or reusable cup and I should have one at least on hand just in case.

Asking in case there are any models or brands that people have found to not be good or if there is a good one everyone agrees on.

Cheers thanks.

Are coffee shops even doing the reusable cups nowadays? You should search for vacuum flask rather than Thermos since that's the brand name.

I use a zojirushi flask for hot water but they're pretty pricey. I think the Stanley brand is good, this one looks okay for $26, though is quite tall. https://www.bigw.com.au/product/stanley-utility-vacuum-flask…

    • It's a work thing.

Work is really good they try to use less single use items like coffee cups and plastic cutlery so everybody brings their own cups.

      Zero waste movement.

In Sydney, yes. Where you are might have quite a while before that happens again.

      • But how do you know that ?

You know how you have a mouth? You can use it to ask questions, you know. Like "Excuse me, are you currently accepting resuable coffee cups?"

          What a stupid question.

  • stanley are fantastic. deals pop up every so often
i think they have 1L one on catch for about $60ish. if you fish about you can prob find better

i have a stein & bottle, both awesome

  • Do you want a travel mug or a thermos?

    https://m.catch.com.au/product/contigo-470ml-west-loop-2-0-m…

Also hydrapeak brand if you want a thermos.

    • I have a mug kinda already although open and not closed.

Need a Thermos now something that will last the longest really.

  • zojirushi or tiger flasks are good for both hot or cold. kleen kanteen is also great but bit bulkier.

  • Do you want it to keep your beverage warm and be leak proof? If it's just a reusable cup you can get one for $5 from the reject shop. Of you want those properties it'll be a lot more.

I had a plastic cup that was fine until I dropped it one too many times.

    • I have decided maybe to just go with a mug for now it seems I was misinformed so the Thermos might not be needed urgently so there is time for me to shop around and do more research.

I reuse plastic bottles for water I think I over thought it and that's all I needed it just sounded more dire coming from my panicky boss.
