  • EDIT: Its the digital version…. no box or CDs.

  • great stuff. awesome game

  • And I paid $99 for this. Nice price

  • Great game both (the huge) campaign and online. Well worth a go.

  • That appears to be the US copy, so you won't be able to play on the SEA servers.

    • Thats right…the SEA/ANZ copy is still $89 :(

      • It's $80.50 delivered at ebgames.com.au, but the point still stands though that it's quite expensive for an "older" game (still worth it, IMO). I got the game from EB online when it was on sales for $68 last year.

    • ive got the boxed game, but i play on the US servers anyway.
way more people, and theres a heap more custom games

      • Don't you get terrible lag playing on US servers?

        • Nope, the lag is the same because the SEA servers are still hosted in the USA - just like on WoW.
They only label them that so you can "find people within your timezone easier" but you are still getting 200+ ping.

    • I have a friend who bought the LE US version and managed to convince admin to port him to SEA so that's always a possibility.

  • damn wanted a copy to play on the SEA/ANZ server =[

    • +1

Most people who have the Australian version usually play on the NA server anyway (much faster match making and many more custom games).

      • all my friends play on SEA =[

        • Your friends should stop being n00bs and go on the USA servers :P

I like playing SEA though cause there's hardly anyone on it and majority of people are bad so you can climb the ladder quickly, on USA the competition is a lot more fierce. Plus all the good custom games are on USA and so are all the players. There's really no point in playing on SEA. I mean you could argue that it would lag less…except that Blizzard host the SEA server in the USA anyway (like they do for WoW) so there's no difference in ping.

I think most likely explanation is that your friends don't realize that they can get on the NA server for free. Tell them they just need to goto battle.net and sign in with their account then click add a game and pick SC2 NA edition. Then from the games login screen they can switch to the US server. Once they switch they'll never go back.

  • The retail copy is still $29 from the Blizzard store, but $20 shipping = $50..

Might as well buy it here when JBhifi or Harvey Norman has a sale.

  • +1

    US servers are better anyway

  • Get this ppl!~!

    • We have access to the Northern US servers anyway if you bought a SEA/ANZ copy

      • So our version can play on American servers but American versions can't .. why is that?

        • American versions can't play on American servers? Hmmm

        • -1

Was meant to say American versions can't play on our servers (as that is what the previos comments seemed to indicate I was after confirmation) [should'nt try and Oz bargin at work my mind wasn't focused]

  • a great game
    +1 bargain

  • Isn't the expansion out next year?

  • Not bad, lag on the US servers definately noticeable though. If you're just after multiplayer pick up the KR version for a better challenge and server anyway.

    • Both servers are pretty damn far from Australia, so it's not that noticeable.

  • So I can purchase the North American version from Australia but I will only be able to use the American servers?

  • Add me if any one play on American server and want some gold player to practice with, my main race is Terran, but i can go others to help to improve your tactic.
