With the new 6000 series getting released soon, the 5000 series will be going on sale. Currently can find some 5700XT for around $580. do you think I should wait as they will be discounted further or buy now?

I'm waiting. I feel that they should be around $450 and the eventual 6600 should match them with some raytracing support.
wait for the 6000 series to launch and the market to die down a bit. right now its in a demand frenzy and prices are adjusted accordingly (too high).
last I heard the 5000 has been discontinued, only the 5700XT is made to order now until Jan to meet demands.
I expect the equivalent, most likely the 6600XT will end up being cheaper (if you look at 5600XT price/deals historically which is around $370-$400).
if you must buy, I'd still wait as the cheapest 5700XT I could find on OZB search was $550ish around Christmas last year.
it should be falling below that to be an ok buy at this point in time.yeah i might just wait for 6000 series.

Id wait and buy 6000 series. It's better. But I'd say prices of 5000 series wont come down until closer to release day. Unless you go second hand as people start to offload their GPUs in the hopes of getting another one.
