I was looking for a second-hand TV last month. everyone on Facebook and Gumtree wanted $250 plus for a TV which is out of warranty.

    • Yeah crazy! I sold old Panasonic LCD $150 and Bravia LCD $200 on gumtree within a day or so of posting them 40" both 1yr ago. Others had them for $250 $350! NEW Screens have been so cheap for a while now. Colour quality on the cheapo JVL screen I got is a LOT better than the older model LCD's I have had.

Anyone know if this has HDMICEC? Im wanting to pair it with an Apple TV (lol worth more than the TV!) - but I want to just use the ATV remote to turn it on and off.

  • Thanks, pulled the trigger!

  • Ordered 2. Took my money and then 48 hours later. Payment unsuccessful. Please try again…

  • Has anyone received their tv, shows package received to Aus post since Tuesday?

    • recieved mine today. I ordered on monday and I'm in upper north shore sydney.

  • I received mine but the panel has a noticeable array of weird-colored pixels in the shape of a wine glass (it shows up in the built in media player so it's not any of the stuff I'm doing).

Plus I think there is hair, or something, caught under the glass display? It looks like black marks. Pictures here: https://imgur.com/a/POK9Gty

Apart from that the response rate from the TV is very good and picture quality is good. I use it for Zwift.

    • Both of mine have similar things, halfway up the screen, closer to the right side, must be a manufacturing fault, but what do you expect from 200 bucks, so not complaining!

      • Hmmmm I would be okay if it had a lot of backlight bleed or something like that. But actual pixels being different out of the box, or black marks on the display is a bit much on a "new" display. If it was refurbished I would probably accept it.

        • Yeah, I tried to deal with auspost to get the first one replaced, then when I set up the second, it had a very similar issue so I imagine either the whole batch is dodgy, the model just is el cheapo, or I have very bad luck.
It all got too much anyway so I just kept them.
If it bothers you enough though, definitely see what they can do!

I bought one of these. Look, it's a TV. But it's pretty bad. There is some weird white light thing that emits out the top of it as well. If it's for a room with little traffic and for occasional use then fine, but if it's a daily driver or even a bedroom I'd say no.

We have it in the work out room and, unfortunately, it gets about as much use as you'd expect. :(

Actually thought it would be a lot worse from the comments here. I think it's fine for a $200 TV. Mounted it on the wall with a $20 swivel mount from eBay. Reminds me of the hospital TVs now lol
